400th anniversary

The Visitation Monastery of St. Louis, Missouri was  the site of a gathering of over 54 American and international Visitandines June 20-24 as we came together to celebrate, one year later!- our 400th anniversary as an Order.

Our theme was: Procession…

When St. Francis de Sales perceived in a vision a procession of religious women led by one who turned out to be St. Jane de Chantal, he saw not only the founding mothers but  a long line of Visitandines. During the last 400 years how many Sisters have united their lives to God and assisted by prayer and good example Holy Church and the salvation of our neighbor! How many Sisters have walked in this procession through many years, through many countries!
