On Thursday, June 6, 2013, the 403rd anniversary of the founding of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, the St. Jane de Chantal Gallery Community was established within the Georgetown Visitation Monastery!
We prayed this blessing at Morning Prayer:
Leader: I will bless the Lord at all times
ALL: I will praise God forever.
Leader: Let us pray.
Almighty God, ever generous and caring in all our needs, we thank you for guiding us on the journey of life and lighting the path of unknown ways. May our hearts trust the way you have prepared and help us to be generous in sharing your goodness.All: Amen
Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:1-3
As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says,“In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.
Intercessions:
Reader: Bless Sr. Anne Francis and Sr. Marie de Chantal as they begin this new mission and give them the grace and strength to carry it out.

Leader: Lord of heaven and earth, we give you the glory due your Holy Name. We call on Your Name to bless Sr. Marie de Chantal and Sr. Anne Francis as they begin the St. Jane de Chantal Gallery Community. Give them the needed guidance so that their efforts will be fruitful and valuable to the Visitation Order in the United States. May all of our efforts build up your kingdom where you live with Jesus and the Spirit, forever and ever.
