Nov 24 2013, 7:21 PM

Guest295 (guest): the priest said that Christ is the god who suffers for us,thats why he died on the cross

Nov 24 2013, 7:21 PM

Sister Susan Marie: It is a beautiful Feast- Christ reigns in our hearts and hopefully He will in our world

Nov 24 2013, 7:22 PM

Guest295 (guest): thats why he told the other prisoner he’ll be on paradise when they ask him to save himself from the cross

Sister Susan Marie: Yes the priest here spoke of that magnificently- it was the criminal who recognized Jesus as King- no one else

Nov 24 2013, 7:23 PM

Guest295 (guest): Christ is the king that share humanity for us,not the other way around

PM

Sister Susan Marie: He did everything for us and He only wants our Love

M

Sister Susan Marie: He is King of our hearts and souls- even when we don’t feel His Presence

K(guest): Yes what a feast. I was just reminded of what Father Mateo said for us to pray from our heart, “Thy Kingdom come, the reign of Thy Heart, of Thy love.”

8 PM

Sister Susan Marie: I just discovered Fr Mateo’s conferences in our novitiate- so powerful on the Love of Christ’s Heart

Nov 24 2013, 7:28 PM

Sister Susan Marie: He wanted each home to resemble the tabernacle in Church

K (guest): Yes, I pray for his intercession everyday.

Guest295 (guest): like from a lyrics of song:the steadfast love of the lord never seizes

K (guest): AMEN Guest 295.

:29 PM

Sister Susan Marie: What song is that?

Guest295 (guest): as we gather is the title, just short song

Nov 24 2013, 7:30 PM

Sister Susan Marie: Do you have the Sacred Heart enthroned in your home?

K (guest): I did not know about the enthronement until the last few years. I have not had the Sacred Heart enthroned in my apartment.

R(guest): who are you asking Sr

Guest295 (guest): in my grandma’s house yes,but in ours i only have the bible and the st benedicts crucifix and image of young christ

Sister Susan Marie: I was asking in general

R (guest): ok I do

Sister Susan Marie: We are beginning to provide materials for the enthronement from our Monastery

K (guest): When my husband was alive we had our home blessed and Father said some special prayers at the pictures of The Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart. :33 PM

R (guest): you know the Carmelite Sisters where I’m entering have a big devotion to the Sacred heart too

Nov 24 2013, 7:33 PM

K (guest): The monastery in Tulsa was enthroned to the Sacred Heart.

R (guest): yes

K (guest): It is the answer for the world

5 PM

Sister Susan Marie: His Love is and it is calling each of us in different ways and unique missions

Sister Susan Marie: As St Francis said, But how did Jesus live out his call to be king? According to St. Francis de Sales it was by “the perfect abandonment into the hands of the heavenly Father and this perfect indiff

indifference in whatever is his divine will.”

Sister Susan Marie: His Divine Will for each of us is the most important thing

K (guest): There is a prayer of St. Therese of Lisieux to know God’s will and part of it is asking God to help me respond to the slightest promptings of His grace, so that I may be His trustworthy instrument.

Yes, I am trying to keep reminding myself of that and praying for it.

Nov 24 2013, 7:39 PM

Guest295 (guest): i need to go now sr,i need to checkup if our parish well have feeding program for the poor this christmas

Sister Susan Marie: Tonight’s topic ties in with this awesome Feast of Christ the King. I hope He is King of each of our hearts and souls and growing more so.

Sister Susan Marie: The battle can be on– for dominance- His or anything else’s

K (guest): In today’s homily, Father said that the word dominance derives from Lord.

Sister Susan Marie: Dominus vobiscum- Latin- The Lord be with you. But I never made the connection, thanks!

Sister Susan Marie: K, that is a good standard to look at things- whatever dominates the heart is lord of it

Nov 24 2013, 7:50 PM

Sister Susan Marie: But in a struggling mode which many of us experience- it may feel like something else is gaining the edge- but is it really/ How do we keep Christ first in a struggle

Sister Susan Marie: When the mind goes round and round over a problem, an issue, an attachment ,

Am: To let Christ dominate our hearts, we have to surrender our entire selves to Him, all our material goods and worldly desires

K (guest): I think we make the choice to pray, attend Mass, receive the sacraments and trust Him to do His work in us.

Nov 24 2013, 7:54 PM

Sister Susan Marie: For ex- we are thinking and praying an issue thru- when is that legitimate and how do we know it is time to surrender that issue to Him

K (guest): If we are listening in our prayer, He will guide us to surrender and peace.

7:56 PM

Am: I agree, we need to listen

Sister Susan Marie: At that point, He is Lord, or King of our hearts, souls, thoughts :57 PM

K (guest): Ahh yes.

Nov 24 2013, 7:57 PM

Am: St. Catherine of Sienna spoke of her hours in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and she said, if you listen, He will tell you

K (guest): Beautiful! Thank you

Sister Susan Marie: Being with Him in the Blessed Sacrament is a powerful way of acclaiming Him King- of our time, our space our being-ness

K (guest): Our being-ness , who He created us to be 00 PM

Am: When I was away from the church, it was the reality of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament that brought me back

Am: Yes, and that night when I felt His true presence the first time, I remember like yesterday

It was a Tuesday night, snowing pretty hard, and I decided to go to a daily mass, something I had never done before. In the bulletin, it said “adoration before mass with confession” , and not really knowing what that was, i went because I didnt want to be late for mass. Then, it was a change in my life,

K (guest): You were responding to His slightest (or maybe not to slight) promptings.

8:09 PM

J: can you describe what you felt in your body that changed everything please? :

Am: It was more like shove I think lol but how can one describe what happened next. He spoke to my heart. I went back the next night, then the next, and well, it was like a magnet 3

J: was it a light in your soul that lit and you knew everything would be different? like a true conversion?

Nov 24 2013, 8:11 PM

K (guest): As you said, you fell in love. We want to be with the one we love.

J: something in your soul that you had never experienced before?

Nov 24 2013, 8:11 PM

Am: It was a feeling that I didn’t have to be in control of my life, someone loved me for who I was and was guiding me. Maybe a true conversion, but the feeling of true love was overwhelming

K (guest): J, have you had an experience where you physically felt a change?

Am: Haha, I remember calling my sister up and asking her if i would be thought a total crazy if I went to daily mass, like who in heaven’s name would do that? lol :14 PM

Am: Yes, J, have you felt a change? ,

J: yes K…but not a true and lasting conversion experience but it was a moment in time where I strongly felt God’s presence and it was so powerful and I crave so much more of it but still not in the way as k..of having quite the true love experience that changed me forever
