The most recent issue of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales” “Bondings” has a wonderful article by their Provincial entitled Joyful Saint, Joyful Pope. You can access it here:

Father Jim Greenfield expands on his three points that show the commonality of our current Holy Father and our Founder and Patron, St. Francis de Sales.

Father Greenfield says, first, “ they both ground their identity in the fact that they are sinners and then remind us that sin is never the last word.”

Secondly, “ they both situate their ministry in mission” and third, “they both ground their priesthood in healing wounds and warming the hearts of the faithful.”

All the faithful can take these approaches in one way or another in our lives as disciples of Christ.

How do we recognize our own identity? In what ways do we reach out to others and help to heal one another?

Come join us Sunday April 6th at 730PM to chat about it at the Living Jesus Chat Room.
