“Images of St. Francis de Sales” by Josette Curtil, is a new book, accompanied by a CD Rom, that provides an innovative look at this Bishop, Doctor and Saint, Founder of the Visitation Order.
Through an annotated catalog of 234 works painted throughout 670 Churches and 100 Chapels of Savoy, France, the author invites readers to look at images from their historical sources. This work was produced with the support of the Diocese of Annecy and the learned societies of Savoy.
The Preface was written by Pierette Paravy and the chapters include images of St Francis de Sales, the cult of the Virgin Mary and the company of the saints, and Salesian patrimony, among others.
