This week is very special for the Visitation Sisters of Rosolini, Sicily, Italy as the entire city celebrates the Sacred Heart emanating from the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart.
We have shared much about the principal people called by the Lord to institute these commemorations; Mother Carmela Aprile, Sister Serafina, the film maker Roberto Garay and our own Sisters, called specifically in the 1950’s to found a Monastery next to the Shrine of the Sacred Heart.
The week of festivities includes:
from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 to 12 hours exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart.
-From Tuesday to Thursday at 6.30 P Mass by each parish community of Rosolini.
-Friday 6.30 Mass and blessing of the new statue of the Virgin Mary and blessing of the new Altar of the Sacred Heart; .
-Saturday 6.30 hours Holy Mass; 9PM musical show in Piazza Sacro Cuore.
-Sunday 28th feast day : 3-4 P Eucharistic adoration;
9.30 Holy Mass presided over by Pontifical S.E.R Mons. Antonio Staglianò Bishop of Noto;
Pontifical Mass 11 a.m. chaired by S.E.R Mons. Rosario Gisana Vecovo di Piazza Armerina;
3:30 hours auctioning of votive gifts;
6.30 o’clock Mass in the garden of Villa Criscione;
7.30 Solemn procession with the painting of the Sacred Heart (fireworks), return to the Sanctuary.
