“My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but what you want.” (Mt 26,39)

Sr-Marie-Bernaud-132x150In this Holy Week, welcome every event of our days as opportunities to love Jesus more and as many “small gifts” from heaven to prepare us to live joyfully the joy of the Resurrection.
Look to the advice of our Founder:

Abandonment to Divine Providence

Today, society and the family falters because the essential foundation on which everything depends, is undermined to its very foundations. Everything comes from the Creator, all things are held  by Him. But alas, we exile our families from God as if He were outlawed in our society. These disorders result from a profound disruption of our faith, a harbinger of a collapse. “What lies ahead?” we ask ourselves legitimately. This question is asked universally, and  the Lord replied: “Surrender to my divine Providence!

But what is Providence? It is the act by which God, having created everything, sustains, preserves, and governs all beings from his hand. To understand this better, we should know the depths of the very heart of God and the infinite delicacy of his love for us. It is Jesus who tells us this mystery: “Who of you by worrying can add one cubit unto his stature? “(. Math 6.27) or even” Therefore take the point and do not say what shall we eat? What shall we drink? What shall we wear? “(Math; 6.31) …” So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself. “(Matt. 6.34) …. “But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how you are to speak or what you say, what you have to say will be given you in that hour. “(Matt. 10:19). Divine Providence is in all this and we believe in the words which Jesus tells us!

Despite this, the man with the indifferent and ungrateful heart constantly challenges Divine Providence. He rejects this filial abandonment preferring to rely on his own  poor strengths and then, he is surprised to see the world in this sad state. It should be the case of Honor Guards who, imbued with the conviction that God has everything for their greater good, fix their gaze on the Heart of Jesus and as many times as necessary appeal to his kindness. That not a day  goes by but they continue to accept the Lord’s providence whether in the smallest details of life, or the biggest occasion! Let’s put Christ at the center of our lives and we will be amazed to find peace of heart and also peace in our homes, our communities and more widely in our society!
