The acts of love
There is nothing more glorious for God, nothing is more profitable for us to often produce acts of Love! Nothing is more consoling especially for Jesus because He is Love Itself! St Augustine said: “Love and do what you want! “In fact, Love is the summary of all laws, the summit of perfection, the bliss of the earth as it will be for us one day, in heaven.
To love, one must draw from the source of love and love is Jesus. “Let him who is thirsty come to me and drink. (Jn 7, 37) “To desire to love is already loving! So it is with this burning heart of love and charity that we will find ways to make acts of love. After desired love, one must produce acts. Only Jesus can give us love! If we trust in Him, He will give us the means to transform our smallest actions of tenderness . A thousand times a day, let us place our thought in his Sacred Heart.
When we see with our desolation , our poverty, our difficulties we acted without heart, without soul, without generosity, we can immediately produce a good act of love: it shall devour as fire the straw of our imperfections.
The divine fire can ignite and especially speak in our heart, on the condition of using the fuel by incessant small acts of love, generosity, small sacrifices. All the riches and beauty of the world can not compete in value with a single act of love that the soul has done!
As St Augustine, we can say as many times as necessary: ”O love that is not known, O Love who is not loved, to know you, to love you!! “… Or any other prayer that springs from our desire to love. (Sr Marie of the Sacred Heart Bernaud)
