CONSECRATED LIFE IN COMMUNION
11TO reproduce in themselves, as far as possible, ‘that form of life which he, as the Son of God,accepted in entering this world”‘ (VC 16)
The great conclusive event of the Year of Consecrated Life will be held in Rome from January 28 to February 2, 2016. It is entitled: Consecrated Life in Communion. Diverse Forms with a common foundation. It will be a week during which one may know better and admire the variegated mosaic of Consecrated Life in its various forms:
Ordo Virginum,
MonasticLife,
Apostolic Institutes, Secular Institutes, New Institutes
and New Forms of Consecrated Life. The six days will be punctuated with moments of prayer, sharing and some in-depth studies of the specific elements of each reality, together with a prophetic look toward the future.
The calendar reads:
28 January: Prayer Vigil in St Peter’s Basilica
29 January: All realities come together
30/31 January: days of separate meetings for the Ordo Virginum, the Monastic Life, the
Apostolic Institutes, the Secular Institutes, the New Institutes and New Forms of
Consecrated Life.
1 February: All realities come together – audience with the Holy Father
2 February: Eucharistic celebration presided by Pope Francis
