Guest4638 (guest): Hi Everyone! It’s Judy and I’m back! I’ve missed our chats for the past 8 weeks, but the program I attended was a great boost to my faith. There were over 100 people attending and I met some very nice people Each night consisted of dinner (very nicely prepared meals), a video presentation, dessert and discussion of questions prepared by the Discovering Christ designers. The discussions were very rewarding.

May 29 2016, 7:02 PM

Guest4638 (guest): There was also a one day retreat which I thoroughly enjoyed. Altogether, it was a very wonderful experience and I hope to repeat it when the follow-up program, Following Christ begins at the end of September.

May 29 2016, 7:16 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Blessings to all of you on this beautiful Feast of the Body and Blood of the Lord. Let us praise and thank Him for this incredible gift of Himself which He has given us so that we might be united with Him. Let us try to return to Him a good measure of the love He has shown to us.

Lisa C: Hi Judy

May 29 2016, 7:21 PM

Guest4638 (guest): It’s good to be back!

May 29 2016, 7:22 PM

Guest1026 (guest): Hi Everyone, this is Dawn. I just received call, family med emergency. Have to run, missing tonight, Hi Judy! and Brian!…and Lisa! wonder if anyone knows how Ruth is doing….prayers for all, God bless !

May 29 2016, 7:22 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Sending up an immediate prayer.

May 29 2016, 7:27 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Hi Ruth, how are you?

May 29 2016, 7:32 PM

Ruth (guest): Thank you for asking. I’m doing remarkably well all things considered. I brought my laptop and intend to join you this evening. I’ve been very, very tired and sleepy, probably partly from the pain medications and partly from having lost quite a bit of blood. But they gave me back some of my own blood from the wound drain. The drain is out now, and I’ve walked down the hall and back — starting yesterday on Post Op day 2. I’m required to use a walker and to have someone with me, but I expect that by the

Lisa C: ( ::: ) Band aid for Ruth

May 29 2016, 7:34 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Can you imagine the situation presented to us tonight–an angel putting before us Paradise and Hell.It would be stunning enough to see Paradise, and then to see Hell. But to see both of them together would be overwhelming. Viewing Heaven with all of its joys, filled with the glory of God the light emanating from the Lamb, and so may other wonders, and then to see Hell right beside it with its blackness, cries of agony, foul smells, would, I think make it far more desireablt to choose Heaven.’

May 29 2016, 7:34 PM

Ruth (guest): i only had a single dose of morphine on same day as the surgery, but they try to give me an oral narcotic every four hours; if it gets to be longer than that I feel it!

May 29 2016, 7:34 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Many other wondes

May 29 2016, 7:34 PM

Guest4638 (guest): wonders

May 29 2016, 7:36 PM

Guest4638 (guest): But we don’t have the luxury of seeing them before the moment we enter into eternal life. But we will have made the choice of the one or the other by the we have lived.

May 29 2016, 7:36 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Way we have lived.

May 29 2016, 7:39 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Hey, don’t all chime in at once.

May 29 2016, 7:39 PM

Lisa C: Not so much the way we have lived, the way we ask for forgiveness for how we have lived.

May 29 2016, 7:41 PM

Ruth (guest): Indeed! And “seeing” alone, would be, I am certain, not adequate. There has to be some interior response that makes heaven, heaven. It seems to me that it is in the perfection of our relationship with God and with others, that is the chief element of heaven

May 29 2016, 7:41 PM

Ruth (guest): That’s what we call the Beatific Vision.

May 29 2016, 7:43 PM

Lisa C: The good things we have done are done through the Holy Spirit in us so that good allows us to share in God’s glory. It does not merit heaven for us, only mercy does.

May 29 2016, 7:44 PM

Guest4638 (guest): It behooves us to recall that it is an irrevocable decision that will take into eternal Paradise, or to eternal punishment and suffering.

May 29 2016, 7:44 PM

Lisa C: Hi Amy

May 29 2016, 7:44 PM

Ruth (guest): To a non-believer the Eucharist is just a piece of bread in a fancy container. To a believer it is the body and blood of Our Lord — given to us as food and as a foretaste of heaven.

May 29 2016, 7:44 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Hi Amy!

May 29 2016, 7:45 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Hi 8120!

May 29 2016, 7:45 PM

Amy Cochran: hello

May 29 2016, 7:46 PM

Guest8120 (guest): Hi Judy , Lisa ,Amy , and Guest ! God Bless You All ! Brian We missed you Judy !

May 29 2016, 7:47 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Oh this beautiful food for the journey that Jesus has given us is truly a foretaste of Heaven. Jesus unites us with Himself in a most intimate way and this points to the union we will experience in the Heavenly Kingdom.

May 29 2016, 7:47 PM

Amy Cochran: hello!

May 29 2016, 7:48 PM

Amy Cochran: The Eucharist is the pinnacle of our faith

May 29 2016, 7:48 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Yes, as Vatican II calls it

May 29 2016, 7:49 PM

Guest4638 (guest): the source and summit of our faith.”

May 29 2016, 7:50 PM

Amy Cochran: For many years, I never appreciated the Eucharist. But it seems like once the veil is opened, it’s a whole new ballgame in the faith journey

Guest8120 (guest): What a gift to be able to point others to Christ in this life ! To see others start a new life in Christ !Soo many helped me I hope I can help others the rest of my life ! Thank You Jesus for your Divine Mercy !

Guest8120 (guest): What a gift God has given us to be able to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus at Mass ! Incredible !

May 29 2016, 7:53 PM

Amy Cochran: it is incredible, what a source of contemplation

May 29 2016, 7:54 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Every Sunday at Mass, we sing these words after receiving communion: Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place, I can feel His might power and His grace; I can hear the brush of angels wings, I see glory on each face; surely the presence of God is in this place.” This morning I became aware of the presence of myriads of angels filling the sanctuary and had a sense that they were bowing before each of us as we received the Lord, not to us, but to Him Whom we had just received.

May 29 2016, 7:56 PM

Guest8120 (guest): We sing this song at the end of every Kairos Prison Ministry Meeting in and outside of Prison !

May 29 2016, 7:56 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Now just imagine if our life choices resulted in our being deprived of this wonder, this union with the Lord, for all eternity. What a horrible thought!

May 29 2016, 7:57 PM

Amy Cochran: that is truly hell

May 29 2016, 7:57 PM

Lisa C: I do not think a person could chose hell

May 29 2016, 7:58 PM

Lisa C: Once they understand no one would chose it

May 29 2016, 8:00 PM

Lisa C: I think so

May 29 2016, 8:00 PM

Lisa C: I have complete confidence in Jesus to love them into heaven

Guest4638 (guest): Why then would Our Lady of Fatima given the children a vision of Hell and all of its horrors, and also Jesus showed Hell to St. Faustina. Obviously there are souls there, or such revelations would not have been made.

Lisa C: Pope Benedict said that that vision was of what could happen without repentance, not what has happened

May 29 2016, 8:06 PM

Ruth (guest): Hospitals have there “normal” annoyances, but this morning, when I asked if there was a chapel and if there was a Catholic Holy Mass thatI could attend I was feeling GOOD. They sent me a hospital Chaplain with Holy Communion hosts in a pix in his pocket. He said he was Catholic, but if he was,he cannot have been a practicing Catholic. Surprised that I had my own Rosary he asked if I were a nun. I joked that I am a nun-smoker, and a nun-drinker; and shared that I was a Lay Associate of the Sisters of

May 29 2016, 8:07 PM

Guest8120 (guest): I remember being in China 21 years ago and seeing the flatness of life with no outward worship of God and our Lord Jesus Christ anywhere ! It is amazing how today millions are beginning their life with Christ in that same land ! Praise God !!!

May 29 2016, 8:10 PM

Guest8120 (guest): We must defend our Lord Jesus everday and by loving everyone as He has asked us many will begin anew life with Jesus forever ! We must not Faint !!!

May 29 2016, 8:13 PM

Lisa C: Yes, Guest8120, we can pray people into heaven

May 29 2016, 8:13 PM

Guest8120 (guest): Amen Lisa !!!

May 29 2016, 8:13 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Jesus told St. Faustina that “I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to my merciful heart. I use punishment when they themselves force me to do so.”

May 29 2016, 8:15 PM

Lisa C: This is a link about what Pope Benedict said about the visions of hell at Fatima http://aleteia.org/2016/05/13/5-surprising-revelations-of-the-third-secret-of-fatima/

May 29 2016, 8:16 PM

Guest8120 (guest): God uses every available resource to help save everyone . He does not desire anyone to go to hell . He created us to live with Him forever in Heaven !

Ruth (guest): Sisters of Saint Joseph. He understood — sort of — the difference between nuns and mentioned a woman he knew who was a Lay Third Order 3rd — but then went on I suppose trying to be sympathetic, voicing how hard it is to be in a hospital. He gave me the Communion Host as if he were handing out a “holy Card” and immediately resumed the conversation . I had to wait juntil after he was gone to give Thanks and Praise to God for this precious Memmorial.

May 29 2016, 8:18 PM

Guest8120 (guest): Prayer is most important that is why our enemy does everthing he can to distract us from Prayer ! God does everthing that we might remain in Prayer and unity with Him !

May 29 2016, 8:24 PM

Lisa C: Yes,

May 29 2016, 8:24 PM

Guest4638 (guest): I firmly believe in the Mercy of God. Mercy requires repentance. I also believe that there are people who have so hardened their hearts to God, that they will not seek His mercy in repentance. As merciful as He is, He cannot dispense His mercy if one persists in his obstinacy and refuses to repent.

May 29 2016, 8:25 PM

Lisa C: Blessed Mother is praying for them to repent

May 29 2016, 8:26 PM

Lisa C: If she asks Jesus to send them the grace to repent do you think Jesus will say no?

May 29 2016, 8:27 PM

Guest8120 (guest): When we Love our enemies we totally disarm them and they begin to see Christ ! Maybe for the first time ! Don’t give up on anyone ! Soo many stories throughout the centuries of those who were completely lost and Jesus found them !

May 29 2016, 8:27 PM

Lisa C: I cannot imagine anyone who understands saying no to God. If they are saying no, they just do not see clearly yet.

May 29 2016, 8:28 PM

Guest8120 (guest): All of Heaven is cheering us on to Help God to save those who are lost !!!

May 29 2016, 8:31 PM

Ruth (guest): A nurse told me about and helped me find on the internet the preacher of her friend’s church who was to have something very important to say. A PCA [Parient Care Associate] walking by was impressed; recognized the preacher.

May 29 2016, 8:32 PM

Guest8120 (guest): Keep shining everyone ! God Bless You All ! Brian

May 29 2016, 8:32 PM

Guest4638 (guest): All of these things are true. But look at the angels themselves. They had enlightened intelligence. The knew, but some of them still decided to go their way and said “We will not serve.” If they could harden their hearts, how much more can weak human beings harden their hearts.

May 29 2016, 8:33 PM

Lisa C: May Jesus gather everyone into His Sacred Heart!

May 29 2016, 8:33 PM

Guest4638 (guest): Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery, Ruth. May all of you have a blessed week steeped in your knowledge and love of Jesus in the Eucharist.

May 29 2016, 8:34 PM

Lisa C: God be praised!

May 29 2016, 8:35 PM

Ruth (guest): I will pray that Lian, through her journalism, helps mak Christ known and loved.
