Begin each prayer, the silent as well as the vocal, by being aware of the presence of God. Keep to this without exception.
In all petitions and prayers, the “we” carries weight, as the Lord taught us in the Our Father. In it, on “I” or “for me” is found.
Before all else, the prayer of the mind and heart is recommended to you, most especially that which has as its object the life and Passion of the Lord.
By frequent contemplation you will be grasped by Him, and you will learn to carry out all your actions as He did.
