First Meditation:
“Consider first the submission of this eternal Son to the will of His heavenly Father; seeing that He wished to save us He offered Himself and submitted to come to earth, and be enclosed in the pure womb of the most holy Virgin; He who was so great, all-seeing, all poweful, all perfect, refused not, and as the Church sings, abhored not this little dark and narrow prison, because such was His Father’s will.
