On December 19, 2011 The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI formally approved a miracle that will lead to the beatification of Ven. Louis Brisson, OSFS.
Venerable Brisson was the Founder of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, both Fathers, Brothers and Sisters.
He was strongly encouraged for many years by a Visitation Superior in Troyes, Frances, the Servant of God Mother Mary de Sales Chappuis.
Therefore there are strong Salesian ties between Visitandines and Oblates in our history and in our veneration of St. Francis de Sales.
