Has the world forgotten about God?
What is important in life? The next government scandal? Our favorite movie idol? Or is it heaven, our Creator, and Jesus Christ, who is the source of all love?
How can anyone be so unconcerned? In fact, Jesus mourns the world’s indifference, coldness and thanklessness. Appearing to St. Margaret Mary from 1673 to 1675, Christ appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alocoque, a Visitation Nun, showing her His Heart.
“My divine Heart,” He said, “is so passionately fond of the human race, and of you in particular, that it cannot keep back the pent-up flames of its burning charity any longer. They must burst out through you.”
What loving concern!
Our Lord, in fact, asked Margaret Mary for a communion of reparation on the First Friday of each month.
Will the world finally listen to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, who pleads with us and offers himself to us in such a compassionate way?
St. Maragaret Mary is the Visitation Order’s “Mystic of mystics,” and her feast day is Oct 16. What better way to prepare for it that to join our Living Jesus Chat Room this Sunday!

Some points of discussion for this Sunday’s chat:
- Do we think about Jesus Christ being “so passionately fond of the human race”? How can this be true?
- Why was Our Lord passionate about St. Margaret Mary in particular, as he said he was? What was it that made her so attractive to him?
- What are the other parts of the message of the Sacred Heart, as expressed by the Visitation Order?
Come and discuss these compelling points in the Living Jesus Chat Room, Sunday October 14, 2012 at 7:30 PM EST. Share with others who are journeying the same path as you. Our moderator, Sister Roberta, will guide us. Please read our post, “October Mystic of the Month,” to prepare for the chat.
