Sacred Heart Apostolate
Diocese of Brooklyn
The Sacred Heart Apostolate was founded by Bishop DiMarzio as part of the Diocesan celebration of the Year of Faith.
The Apostolate has four goals in renewing Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Diocese of Brooklyn:
* Promotion of the First Friday Devotion with a monthly First Friday Mass at the Visitation Monastery, 8902 Ridge Blvd, Brooklyn, at 7:30pm. On Friday January 4, 2013, the Celebrant will be Bishop Paul Sanchez.
* Enthronement of The Sacred Heart of Jesus in the home and Family Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
*Promotion of memebership in the Guard of Honor of the Sacred Heart
* Consecration of the Diocese of Brooklyn to the Sacred Heart on Friday, June 7, 2013. (Consecrated in 2020)
We encourage everyone to join us for the First Friday Masses at the Monastery Chapel. Information and materials about Family Consecration and the Guard of Honor will be available after the Masses.

Prayer
Lord our God, Father of Mercy
In your great love for us
You sent your Son, Jesus, into this world,
The Word made flesh with a human heart,
So that He could love with a human love.
Give us a deeper insight into
The mystery of this love,
So that we might love others as He loved us.
We ask this through Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
Your Son who lives and reigns with you and
the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.
Amen
