St. Louis de Montfort, well known for his work on the Blessed Mother called True Devotion to Mary, was also familiar with the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, to the extent that he even wrote a hymn the the Sisters of the Visitation!, as well as many to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

TO THE RELIGIOUS OF THE VISITATION
1.
O most holy Religious,
My verses cannot name you,
For I consider you so blest:
This great Heart is yours to love.
2.
He has taken you for his own,
Has made his palace among you,
He is also your inheritance
Which not all can claim.
3.
From the height of Calvary’s Cross
He descended, through MARY,
To your holy father’s heart,
And gave Himself completely.
4.
This holy, kindly father

Like a good, loving master,
Gave you this loving Heart
So you would burn with Its fire.
5.
Your Rule is so attractive,
Francis is not so much the author
As is meekness, humble and innocent,
With neither pride nor harshness.

What immense glory!
The Heart of the Lamb
Has been born in your home:
Your house is His crib.
7.
Since your home He chose for birth,
There He must grow and increase,
You must make His Heart be known,
You must reveal Him to the world.
8.
Among you His Heart takes refuge,
Banished as it is from many hearts;
He has found a home among you,
Burn, burn then with its flames.
9.
God chose you as depository
Of this most exalted treasure;
It is your task, Reverend Mothers,
To make this gift increase.
10.
As, thank God, you do this,
I shall not admonish you;
But do try to be more perfect,
More faithful on this point.
11.
Among three Hearts, take your place;
Jesus, Augustine and Francis;
May the first, so full of grace,
Make you as one and not as three.

Here are my verses, which I present
To your hearts, all united as one;
If this offering is excellent
It is because as one you share it.
13.
If any heart by its own spite
Is not one with the community,
I do not offer my sacrifice
For this evil monster.
14.
That soul has left its Center,
This Heart so full of love;
May it now return immediately
Through the opening in its side.
15.
Without concern for any rhyme,
Meditate well my humble verses;
Understand their sublime meaning
Making them your own sweet song.
16.
If these verses have no impact,
Let all the fault be mine;
But may I not be the cause
Of your refusal to believe.
17.
But if my verses enlighten you
Render glory to the Lord;
Spread their truths everywhere,
And make up for what I lack.
18.
A priest has such need for wisdom,
Please include him in your prayers,
The Heart of Jesus urges you,
Obtain for him this gift of gifts.
