The third annual meeting of the North American Salesian Network (NASN) took place at the Passionist Retreat Center in Detroit April 28 – 30. Fourteen participants represented the following Salesian congregations and associations:
- DeSales Resources and Ministries
- DeSales Spirituality Services
- Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales
- Oblate Sisters of St. Francis de Sales
- Oblates of St. Francis de Sales (both American provinces)
- Salesians of Don Bosco (both American provinces)
- Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco (both American provinces)
- St. Francis de Sales Association (the Daughters)
- Visitation Salesian Network
- Visitation of Holy Mary (via email and prayer)
This year NASN designed the logo above and targeted 2022, the 400th anniversary of the death of St. Francis de Sales, as a time for special events. Ideas that are being actively pursued include participating in the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, which draws tens of thousands of participants, and advocating for a papal encyclical on St. Francis de Sales. We are also exploring collaborating on the Salesian education and formation of the laity, especially educators in our Salesian schools and parishes.
