Entering religious life always takes courage, perseverance and a special grace from the Holy Spirit.
Imagine the enormous blessings upon the candidate when she enters a fledgling discernment community like the St. Jane de Chantal Gallery Community!
Associated with the Founding Monastery of the Visitation Order in the United States, Georgetown Visitation Monastery, the St. Jane de Chantal Gallery Community was established just a little over a year ago. Candidate Keri was drawn to the group even before the Sisters settled in and has spent the better part of this year as an aspirant and pre-postulant.
On the magnificent Feast of Our Lady of Carmel, Keri will be welcomed as a Postulant into the St Jane de Chantal Community at Georgetown.
The welcoming ceremony, with the Federation President in attendance, will be followed by Mass in the Georgetown Monastery’s Sacred Heart Chapel.
As its “pioneer postulant” Keri will begin regular formation classes in Salesian Spirituality, especially in St. Francis de Sales Introduction to the Devout Life, and will continue to weave her day between prayer, community and service.
Please pray for Keri as she takes this step and continues her growth into the life of a Consecrated, Visitandine Religious.
