This Day in St. Francis de Sales’ Life- January 19

On January 19, 1601, St. Francis de Sales was by his dying father’s bedside. He wrote to his Bishop,” I am here and will remain here as a duty to assist my father who day by day advances quickly toward eternal life. ” Baron Boisy, St Francis’ dad, made his confession to his saintly son and received Holy Communion from his hands. He was ever grateful to God for having given him this holy son.
