Lisa C: The first one is on Pope Benedict’s interpretation of the revelations on Fatima7:26 PM

Lisa C: When Blessed Mother talks about hell to the children

May 15 2016, 7:26 PM

SrSusan (guest): Start there since we just had the Feast

27 PM

Lisa C: Pope Benedict says that is not a definite thing. That it is more of a vision of what could happen without repentance. 28 PM

Lisa C: When I read about it I was hoping that was what it was. I was relieved to see that Pope Benedict thought that.

May 15 2016, 7:28 PM

Guest4252 (guest): God bless everyone!

, 7:29 PM

Lisa C: If we believe that Jesus told St Faustina that He would save people because she asked Him to, then we can believe that we can pray for tons of people to be saved. 2016, 7:29 PM

Lisa C: I pray for everyone. PM

SrSusan (guest): Why do you think St Francis de Sales had a meditation on hell

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

Guest4252 (guest): Hi! I have missed last two weeks. But read nice chats.

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

Lisa C: Because Jesus said we should be afraid to go there

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

SrSusan (guest): I think it was the way the theology was back then

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

Lisa C: Jesus talks about it

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

SrSusan (guest): Today we underemphasize

7:31 PM

Lisa C: He says we should be afraid to be thrown into the lake of fire that God has prepared for deamons

May 15 2016, 7:31 PM

SrSusan (guest): Pain on earth and hooror is often compared to it

7:29 PM

Lisa C: If we believe that Jesus told St Faustina that He would save people because she asked Him to, then we can believe that we can pray for tons of people to be saved.

May 15 2016, 7:29 PM

Lisa C: I pray for everyone.

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

Lisa C: Jesus talks about it

May 15 2016, 7:30 PM

SrSusan (guest): Today we underemphasize it

May 15 2016, 7:31 PM

Lisa C: I sent two links by Bishop Barron

May 15 2016, 7:32 PM

Lisa C: He says we can hope that God will spare all from hell

May 15 2016, 7:32 PM

Lisa C: We know hell is real, we just do not know if anyone goes.

May 15 2016, 7:32 PM

SrSusan (guest): From Judy: 1. It is an awesome thing to think that the senses by which we have sinned should receive the punishment for our transgressions. Imagine having to have to look upon devils, hear cries of despair and other horrors. Yes, the punishments of Hell are too horrible to consider and even more so to anticipate having to endure.

May 15 2016, 7:32 PM

Lisa C: Padre Pio says hell is real and people are in it

May 15 2016, 7:33 PM

SrSusan (guest): 2. But the greatest suffering of all is that of being deprived of the vision and presence of God for all eternity. I cannot imagine having to be separated from God for all eternity. To be unable to see His magnificent glory, to witness the light coming from the Lamb which lights up the Kingdom, to be kept from the Wedding Feast of the Lamb—these are fates too disturbing to endure. I think of the words of Psalm 63, “O God, You are my God, for You I long, for You my soul is thirsting.” Having longed for Him a

3 PM

SrSusan (guest): Having longed for Him all of my life, should I then take the risk of being barred from His Kingdom forever! What an abysmal thought!
3. To be consigned to Hell for all of eternity is something I do not even want to think of. The interminability of it, the endlessness of it, fill me with dread. But most of all, I dread being without my Lord for all eternity.

May 15 2016, 7:34 PM

Lisa C: I have extreme confidence that I cannot be separated from God. He is mine and I am His. Even if I spend a long time in Purgatory I will be with Him forever after that.

016, 7:34 PM

Lisa C: I would prefer to do penance before I die.

May 15 2016, 7:34 PM

Amy Cochran: hello

2016, 7:35 PM

SrSusan (guest): I am better if the Lord chooses the penance for me 5 PM

Lisa C: I think we all are better if He does.

:36 PM

SrSusan (guest): Purgatory would be filled with deep suffering too

May 15 2016, 7:36 PM

Lisa C: Yes, but we still know we will have God at the end.

May 15 2016, 7:38 PM

SrSusan (guest): That is the consolation. Yet hell exisits we can tell from the evil in the world

6, 7:38 PM

Lisa C: Yes, it does exist, but we do not know who is in it besides demons 6, 7:38 PM

SrSusan (guest): It’s influence is in our society

May 15 2016, 7:39 PM

Lisa C: I cannot imagine anyone choosing hell

016, 7:41 PM

SrSusan (guest): Can you imagine some of the demonic earthly choices people make

May 15 2016, 7:41 PM

SrSusan (guest): I can’t even watch horror films or read anything of that sort

May 15 2016, 7:41 PM

Amy Cochran: I think the drug crisis we have in this country is demonic

May 15 2016, 7:41 PM

SrSusan (guest): I can’t imagine how people can either but they do

May 15 2016, 7:41 PM

Lisa C: I cannot imagine making some of those choices, but I have the advantage of Catholic school. Not everyone has been taught the same way.

May 15 2016, 7:42 PM

SrSusan (guest): Yes Amy

7:42 PM

Lisa C: More is expected from those who have been given more.

May 15 2016, 7:42 PM

SrSusan (guest): Exactly Lisa we were given a good start

PM

SrSusan (guest): Exactly Lisa we were given a good start

May 15 2016, 7:43 PM

Lisa C: But the parable of the workers says everyone gets paid the same in the end

May 15 2016, 7:43 PM

SrSusan (guest): That’s a good interpretation

43 PM

Lisa C: The people who show up at the last minute get the same as those who worked all along

May 15 2016, 7:44 PM

Amy Cochran: right, Lisa, look at the good thief on the cross

7:44 PM

Amy Cochran: right, Lisa, look at the good thief on the cross

May 15 2016, 7:44 PM

Lisa C: Why are believers called first fruits? There will be other fruits later on.

May 15 2016, 7:44 PM

Jennifer (guest): To be offer to God

May 15 2016, 7:44 PM

SrSusan (guest): What about the other thief Did he arrive later on

45 PM

Lisa C: Maybe when he died he saw Jesus and repented.

May 15 2016, 7:45 PM

Jennifer (guest): By the grace of God, maybe…

May 15 2016, 7:45 PM

Amy Cochran: good thought, Sister

May 15 2016, 7:45 PM

Lisa C: St Gertrude said that Jesus told her that at the last minute of death everyone sees Jesus and His mercy and it is irresistible.

6, 7:47 PM

SrSusan (guest): So purgatory might be the common state for the afterlife before the beatific vision?

May 15 2016, 7:48 PM

Lisa C: Don’t we see Jesus before purgatory?

May 15 2016, 7:48 PM

Amy Cochran: I hope so

49 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Good evening all sorry running a little late tended a healing service Gods mercy is great and His Holy Spirit alive in us 016, 7:51 PM

Guest8262 (guest): So many painful stories but God in the midst how wonderful and that He took it all on the cross

May 15 2016, 7:54 PM

Jennifer (guest): Yes, Mario Joseph came to Singapore to give a series of talk on healing.

May 15 2016, 7:54 PM

Guest8262 (guest): How wonderful.

:56 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Healing prayer so powerful ..I am a nurse and see how much better people do when they receive prayer before any procedure and or afterwords … 59 PM

Jennifer (guest): He said that we have to forgive and let go. When one was ill treated we always have the thought that we forgive and let God deal with you in judgement day. He said that this is not right. Jesus forgive all on the cross even those who betray or kill him. Forgive brings healing. PM

Guest6283 (guest): Hi Everyone Sorry Im Late ! God Bless You ! Brian

May 15 2016, 8:02 PM

Guest8262 (guest): I ask them ..how can I pray for you and you would be surprised most all will s ask that all will go well ..I lay my hand on the part that is having a test or surgery of course i ask permission to touch the part

May 15 2016, 8:02 PM

SrSusan (guest): St Francis de Sales : “. Beyond all these sufferings, there is one greater still, the privation and pain of loss of God’s Glory, which is for ever denied to their vision. If Absalom cared not to be released from exile, if he might not see his father’s face, how much sorer will it be to be deprived for ever of the blessed vision of God?

03 PM

Lisa C: I pray for patients while I am with them. I also recently had a husband of a patient stop to kneel and thank God when he got good news about his wife. Patients often say thank you God when things go well. Sometimes you can just say God bless you to them. Sometimes I just know when to tell a patient I have been praying for them or their family.

May 15 2016, 8:05 PM

Guest8262 (guest): I am blessed every time I pray with a patient ..sometimes I think I receive more than they. …I am blessed every time it is so wonderful

8:06 PM

Lisa C: When patients say, “You cured me.” I say, “No, God did.”

May 15 2016, 8:06 PM

Guest6283 (guest): It is amazing how God presents to us soo many opportunities to pray for others in our daily life .

May 15 2016, 8:07 PM

Guest6283 (guest): Amen Lisa 1

PM

Guest6283 (guest): Very Very Special

May 15 2016, 8:08 PM

Lisa C: If there is an emergency or a difficult procedure I pray for help from God, and He always helps. I think I would panic without God.

May 15 2016, 8:09 PM

Guest6283 (guest): Amen ! Sincere and real Christian Action !

May 15 2016, 8:10 PM

Guest4252 (guest): I agree completely 6283. And indeed how rewarding to pray at the bedside of someone near death. I prayed non-stop for my dear mom when she was passing. When I prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, I couldn’t believe how much Peace that it brought to me!

May 15 2016, 8:10 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Yes same here I worked in ice trauma and the emergency room and I alwayed prayed for help and decernment on next step

ter

May 15 2016, 8:12 PM

Guest4252 (guest): Yes Sister, very powerful prayer! It’s almost as though we are blocking the devil from slipping in as Sr. Faustina said at the hour of death.

May 15 2016, 8:13 PM

Guest4252 (guest): Hello dear Sister.

May 15 2016, 8:13 PM

Guest6283 (guest): Amazing Lisa how He brings us help wherever we are !

May 15 2016, 8:14 PM

Guest4252 (guest): Indeed. God be Praised!

May 15 2016, 8:14 PM

Lisa C: We need more prayer at abortion clinics

May 15 2016, 8:14 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: Yes, there’s nothing worse than the loss of the blessed vision of God, as SFdS points out.

016, 8:14 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: the importance of putting our faith into practice in both big and small ways!

May 15 2016, 8:16 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: Our Oblate priest at the Pentecost Mass this morning, talked about the Holy Spirit’s presence in the sincere smile we offer someone every day.

May 15 2016, 8:16 PM

Guest6283 (guest): Please keep our Kairos Ladies who participated In Kairos 72 Albion this weekend . Always many Women who have asked God for forgiveness from their abortions . they need our prayers after the retreat ends !

:17 PM

Ruth (guest): Oh, my goodness, I lost track of time again, and was in the process of writing a an email letter to Sr. Susan Marie!

May 15 2016, 8:17 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Yes and God can heal those mothers

May 15 2016, 8:17 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: definitely 6283!

May 15 2016, 8:17 PM

Guest6283 (guest): Amen !

May 15 2016, 8:18 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: I like SFdS’s challenge to me in the Intro reading this week to “resolve on distinct, definite acts by which you (I!) may avoid sin.”

May 15 2016, 8:18 PM

Lisa C: They are talking about making euthanasia legal in Canada and people in Belgium where it is legal are saying to them do not do it. It is out of control there.

8:19 PM

Lisa C: How much prayer will it take to stop all this?

May 15 2016, 8:20 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Dear God forgive

May 15 2016, 8:20 PM

SrSusan (guest): Fasting, mortification and penance as well

May 15 2016, 8:20 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: for sure!

May 15 2016, 8:20 PM

Guest8262 (guest): We need to storm the gates of heaven with prayer

May 15 2016, 8:21 PM

Lisa C: I loved my Grandma my whole life and when she was dying and her time was limited it was the most precious time. I do not know how people can just give up on people.

May 15 2016, 8:21 PM

Guest8262 (guest): I don’t either and I ave seen much suffering in my yrs of nursing

May 15 2016, 8:21 PM

Guest4252 (guest): So sad at how much of it goes on right in our back door also. Yes, Lisa, it’s like they think we are doing them a favor.

May 15 2016, 8:22 PM

Guest6283 (guest): I just heard a horrific example of this was that a person who was suffering from depression was allowed to take there own life . Horrific ! The family was horrified and has to live with this great evil ! Glad they are speaking out to save others !

May 15 2016, 8:22 PM

Ruth (guest): Lisa, there is a similar bill in the New York State legislature!

May 15 2016, 8:22 PM

Guest8262 (guest): God gives us our day of birth and and our day of rebirth to be back with Him

5 2016, 8:22 PM

Lisa C: Yes, Ruth, whom can we write to 8:23 PM

SrSusan (guest): It’s getting worse and worse we must LIVE OUR FAITH deeply

May 15 2016, 8:23 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Yes sister so true

May 15 2016, 8:24 PM

Lisa C: Hillary Clinton said that an “unborn person” has no rights. The left got mad at her for calling the baby a person!

May 15 2016, 8:24 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: I’m living with it in my own family, where my sister says she herself (no one else) will decide when to end her life.

May 15 2016, 8:25 PM

Guest8262 (guest): I want God to control my life because I will make a mess without Him

May 15 2016, 8:25 PM

Guest4252 (guest): My mother had terminal cancer, and I literally had to fight for her rights every day. I found great support from a nice man with Priests for Life.

May 15 2016, 8:25 PM

Lisa C: It is definitely a slippery slope. They started at a few weeks and now they want to go right up to 9 months saying the mental health of the mother is at stake!!

May 15 2016, 8:25 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: As SFdS points out: To combat sin we have to “do good readily, diligently and frequently” and go often to Confession.

May 15 2016, 8:25 PM

Lisa C: St. Gianna is probably a good Saint to pray to about this

, 8:26 PM

Guest6283 (guest): Greater Love has no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends . Soo many different ways we can do this ! Lets do all we can for others and to help save life for Jesus !

May 15 2016, 8:26 PM

Ruth (guest): Your senator and representative if your are in NYS. I can give you a website — for the Catholic Bishops with the info. But I’m so slow, lets look it up afterward.

May 15 2016, 8:26 PM

SrSusan (guest): In the olden days the fire and brimstone sermons scared people and they would not be drawn to these types of action

2 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: I think YOU are the strong one, 4252, for taking the time to offer a smile!

May 15 2016, 8:32 PM

Guest4252 (guest): God bless you! It’s not easy.

May 15 2016, 8:32 PM

Lisa C: it is illegal for a physician in ny state to assist with suicide. How will they undo the existing law?

May 15 2016, 8:33 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: Those who are forced to do it will have to refuse, come what may.

May 15 2016, 8:33 PM

Lisa C: Why would smiling be weak? Smiling makes people happy when they see it.

May 15 2016, 8:34 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: So, this week (7th in Ordinary Time) we can all Give thanks, offer ourselves, and pray, as SFdS asks us to do – and SMILE!

May 15 2016, 8:35 PM

Guest4252 (guest): My co-workers are very secular. They think kindness is a form of being afraid of things or afraid of cinfrontations, I think. Little do they know, I’m not afaid of the devil, himself!!!

May 15 2016, 8:35 PM

Guest8262 (guest): Yes we have much to smile about because we know who we belong to

May 15 2016, 8:35 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: good, 4252, continue strong!

May 15 2016, 8:35 PM

Ruth (guest): A new bill, Lisa. My run on sentence didn’t end. It is not LAW; it’s a BILL and we’ve been trying to keep it even from coming to a vote. There’s a lot of disceptive language in it. But basically it would make assisted suicide legal in NYS IF it passed.

May 15 2016, 8:36 PM

Guest4252 (guest): Thank you so much! God bless all. Nice to see you, Ruth!

May 15 2016, 8:36 PM

Mary Roberta Viano: God preserve us from offending Him this week! Let’s continue praying for one another! G’night.

May 15 2016, 8:36 PM

SrSusan (guest): God bless

6 PM
