Imagine, for a moment, if St. Margaret Mary, who received the revelations of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as a novice, had not been permitted to go on to make her Vows of Profession. How would God’s plan of showing His Love for us then developed? Blessedly, merely a pondering now, for St. Margaret Mary’s Superior did accept her for Vows, due largely in part to Sister, then Mother Anne-Seraphine Boulier, a mystic herself, who advised the Superior that St. Margaret Mary’s mystical experiences in the novitiate were to be trusted.
We will be sharing much about Mother Anne Seraphine this month and next.

“The Word became flesh to make the flesh spirit, the spirit of charity, and all divine charity. It has united us in order that we unite to him and in this union we become new creatures, able to say with the Apostle: ‘We do not live, but Jesus Christ who lives in us. ” To enjoy this happy life, the soul must continually be working to die to all creatures; she has no other pleasure than to obey God and accomplish his holy will. “
Gentleness::
“If charity is the soul of the virtues, gentleness is the cream. I know that there is a bland sweetness that does not adapt; but
true sweetness, gentleness , makes all things strongly and sweetly and gives thanks to all things. This air of grace that beautifies everything we do and that makes it kind, is what I call the cream of the virtues, because it is the attraction of all the people of heaven, The Savior, who came from heaven to earth to work at the loving conquest of hearts, used no other weapons than those of gentleness; he practiced as a lamb ; he preached and served his followers with his humility, saying: ‘Learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart.’ “
“The faithful soul should have the heart and mind of his Master, with feelings, affections, desires, conducting by His lights, therefore pondering what he meditated, loving what he loved , desiring what he desired. “
