Everything attracts us, captivates us, leads us to the perishable world! We have the care and tenderness for everything that strikes our senses and attracts our affections …
but we often forget the one who is Love, our Lord Jesus present at the tabernacle! We feel in no hurry to come to his feet, listen to his teachings, to take his advice, to receive his graces! And while we run to our business, we do not have a minute to
reserve for our divine Friend who is waiting for us to fill us with his benefits.
Do not let us any longer live with our spiritual scarcity, the anemia of our souls, the ice of our heart. We move away from the focus of love, neglecting to go to draw light, courage and virtue from the source in the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.
Let us awaken our faith, let us resolve to make a daily visit for a few minutes to the Blessed Sacrament.
* What is touching about the visit to Holy Sacrament is that it is the spontaneous fruit of love! Nothing obliges, otherwise we would need to prove to our Lord that we love him, that we think of him, that we desire to approach his very sweet Heart. The fruits are invaluable. These moments of silence passed at the feet of Jesus instruct us, gather us; this Heart to Heart with God sanctifies us ….
During these minutes at the Tabernacle, let us acknowledge ourselves as sinners and let us receive the infinite mercy of God. Finally let us entrust our concerns, ask for his lights and graces! Better yet, let us forget ourselves and pray for the Church, the souls of purgatory, the conversion of sinners and,all fervent guards of honor, let us ask pardon for all that offends Jesus!
Our unselfish approach will fill his Heart! (Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart Bernaud)
* If we physically cannot go, we can be there in thought by visualizing a Tabernacle before which we like to pray.
