Visitation Sisters at our “Holy Source” in France have a new “welcoming ministry” to mothers who need a day of reflection, or a pause and break.

“It’s a day for women to feel pampered, to put down their bags and their armor, and let themselves be carried away by Christ” explains Nathalie Doher, one of the five friends behind the project. At the last break, I spent a long time praying for those who entrusted me with hard things, and for all those women who were there with me “says Marina. Some moms are actually suffering. “We have seen women burst into tears,” say the organizers. Priests are there for confessions.

“The Monastery and its gardens are places that carry peace” the participants underline. Only obligation: to respect the silence outside the meals and coffees. And ideally: to cut oneself off from the world. All the rest of the program is optional, with multiple proposals: topics on St. Francis de Sales, worship, celebration, walking  in the garden, meditation, spiritual accompaniment … and even a nap!
