Chatting about Progress in Union with God

Judy (Guest): Hello All. Blessings on this Divine Mercy Sunday.

Judy (Guest): Mother, I have to be brutally honest with you. There is no way I can rearead of all Book VII between Thrusday and Sunday. It is just too much even though I am not working. I do have other responsibilities. May I suggest a maximum of three chapters a week. We aren’t trying to break a record for finishing the book, are we?

Judy (Guest): I have not found the videos to be helpful at all.

Judy (Guest): Sure! Question 1 The progress of the soul from union to unity is made by particular acts and movements of the soul in prayer that moves it to be more and more united to his divine goodness. It is a kind of squeezing and pressing together so stron as to augment the union.

Judy (Guest): Am I the only who is having difficulty doing all of the reading?

Judy (Guest): Well, that’s a relief!

Judy (Guest): It is a heavy work and it takes a long time to read each chapter.

Judy (Guest): Especially when you have to read sections more than once to figure what is being said.

Judy (Guest): Figure out.

Judy (Guest): I still think that we need to have fewer chapters to read each week.

Judy (Guest): 2 or even three would be great!!

Judy (Guest): Have a good week Carroll!

Judy (Guest): I am not sure that oneness with God makes us a saint. it is, rather, the unity of clasping and pressing ourselves into God so that we are more surely and inrtimately united with Him in an incredible closensss of main and heart, so that we share one purpose, the sanctification of all.

Judy (Guest): Closeness of mind and heart.

Judy (Guest): So we would begin next week with question 4? And what chapters should we read?

Judy (Guest): But we can grow in unity without perceiving it by allowing ourseves to be uited to the divine goodness without resistance. Sometimes we cooperate when we are drawn , we willingly run, to second the force of God’s goodness which draws us and slasps us to Him by love. The first might be called a passive unity in allowing God to work on and in us. the second would be active unity since we choose to move toward God in response to His drawing of us.

Judy (Guest): That sounds great, Mother~!

Judy (Guest): May Raphael the Archangel protect your flights there and back.

Judy (Guest): I think that reaching out to others always helps to lessen our own tribulations.

Judy (Guest): Brian, you also are an inspiration, the way you handle your family, your prison ministry and this chat.

Judy (Guest): Dawn, I think that Mother has left us. You might want to pose that question again next week.

Judy (Guest): Oh my! But you are not wasted nor are you damaged property. You aer forever and instrument of God’s love in the world, and don’t let “the old boy” succeed in convincing you otherwise.

Judy (Guest): Not to mention Jesus reaching into our wounds and bring healing and wholeness to us.

Judy (Guest): That is one of my favorite verses.

Judy (Guest): I relied heavily on that verse when I was recovering from cancer and back surgery. I needed Him every step of the way.

Judy (Guest): I love that quote: God does not call those who are equipped: He equips the called.

Judy (Guest): And so He is equipping all of us for the missions He wants us to accomplish. He wants all of us to minister to others and we need to know that He will give us all we need to do so.

Judy (Guest): The inmates are lucky to have you, Brian.

Judy (Guest): But like Peter when Jesus asked him to come to Him on the water, we have to keep our eyes on Jesus or will falter.

Judy (Guest): I think my fingers work faster than my brain.

Judy (Guest): If someone can figure a way that I can widen the area in which I am typing, it would be great. As I type, what i am typing disappears into the right of the screen.

Judy (Guest): There has to be a way to fix it.

Judy (Guest): How do I do that, Ruth?

Judy (Guest): Thanks, Ruth, I found and reduced it to 80.
