Jeanne Pelat, a known  figure of the French Telethon, and an author, makes the choice of the religious life.

“Do not worry about me, I’ll be the happiest in the world.” It is with these words that Jeanne Pelat, 21 years old, gives herself to her future state of life. The young myopathic woman, a student in journalism, history of art and theology, has indeed chosen to turn to religious life and will enter the order of the Visitation of Holy Mary. A  Telethon figure, she made her first appearance when she was 8 years old. She has also made other appearances in the annual television program that aims to raise money for the AFM (French Association against myopathies). She said:  “Yes, I had a rich social and emotional life. […] I was very happy and yet not fully satisfied, I missed this touch of absolute. In this life of religious, of silence, I feel that I will be in my place, blooming, in a blooming  happiness and not a flat happiness “.

She explains that she did not make this choice by default, but that it is an answer to a “mysterious call”, which she compares to a “love at first sight a thousand times stronger”.  “I look at life in a very optimistic way. ” The young woman will enter  the monastery on October 16th.
