Now Mary had taken a book of a very pure perfume of great value; she spread the perfume on Jesus’ feet, which she wiped from her hair. ยป(Jn 12,3)

“This saint was admirable in this practice of humility; for from the moment of her conversion to her death, she did not leave the feet of her good and divine Master,. His sacred feet … On the Mount of Calvary, when this divine Savior was attached to the cross, she was always under his feet; In the resurrection, she threw herself again at his feet to kiss them as she was accustomed. In short, she never left him, and she always held him in her heart and all her thoughts, living in a very deep humility. “(Sermon for the day of Saint Madeleine, Complete Works T2)

Throughout this Holy Week, I am invited to keep close to the Lord; I will try to keep it humbly just as Mary did, and to make sure to practice the virtue of humility in all my actions.
