St. Francis refers to God’s “holy permission” in allowing sin. This involves man’s free will. Since sin is such a scourge upon others, couldn’t God make free will “less fr

Pray the St. Michael Novena:

Dawn (Guest): Brian, do you have visitors come from outside? I ean is it open to all?

Mar 31, 7:48 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Please Pray for my wife Janet . Catscan results indicate that her hippocampus is very small for her age and right side of her brain is shrinking . Further tests to be done . Speech issues are persisting !!!

Mar 31, 7:49 PM

Ruth (Guest): Yes, it seems the people who attend Alpha are not (necessarily) active parishioners but people inquiring about the Faith.

Mar 31, 7:50 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): She would like to be able to teach 3 more years if the Lord permits !!!

Mar 31, 7:51 PM

Mar 31, 7:53 PM

Ruth (Guest): Gail, Are you still here, or coming back? Perhaps on a day when we stick more closely to following the “program” for the hour.

Mar 31, 7:54 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Dawn anybody can attend team meeting Outside Prison or Holy Hour Outside Prison . To attend Closing inside Prison you would have to fill out one time volunteer application and receive approval . Closing is opportunity to hear participants in Prison tell the impact of Kairos Retreat ! Longer application process to be volunteer on weekend!

Mar 31, 7:55 PM

Dawn (Guest): It seems the Holy Spirit is truly working in Kairos

Mar 31, 7:55 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Thanks Dawn !

Mar 31, 7:56 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): There may be a Kairos near you Dawn and Ruth !

Mar 31, 7:59 PM

Dawn (Guest): Brian, I am not near anything haha very rural area. a pack of wolves, and beavers transforming the landscape. we still have about 3 ft of snow left to melt off. but, 40 miles over the mountain there is a state and a fed prison. I think I inquired before if they have karios and no. but you keep up the very good work Brian and my prayers for you and for Janet

Mar 31, 8:01 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Thanks Dawn ! Must be a very beautiful place to live !!!

Mar 31, 8:01 PM

Dawn (Guest): Hope all is going well for you also Ruth, always in my prayers. Good night, will check in next week. God Bless

Mar 31, 8:01 PM

Dawn (Guest): Yes, it is very beautiful here, God’s beautiful creation

Mar 31, 8:02 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Amen Dawn !!!

Mar 31, 8:02 PM

Ruth (Guest): The “doctor” in me wants to ask lots of questions. Perhaps it is because I had good reason to think that I might not ever finish medical school, or even be alive in a short time. I was 37 when specialists told me, after multiple tests, “You have a time bomb in your head! It is going to explode! No one can tell you when, but we recommend this surgery . . . ” (Most AVM’s rupture by age 39). After meeting the surgeon I decided not to decide until I’d gotten a second opinion. Anyway, I am now TWICE as old

Mar 31, 8:03 PM

Ruth (Guest): as I was then. The bruit that had finally stopped about ten years ago resumed just minutes ago!

Mar 31, 8:05 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Thank You Ruth ! She has been developing some speech problems during her long days teaching Kindergarden . She has had some memory problems at times . Very strong history of Alzheimer’s and Dementia in her family !!!

Mar 31, 8:10 PM

Ruth (Guest): I am so sorry, Brian. That is worrisome. But we need to go on trusting and loving God and one another. And the one answer I would give to all those questions about sin and suffering is that God IS LOVE, and we humans get to participate in his BEING. That makes us a little more like Him. Freedom is necessary for LOVE.

Mar 31, 8:13 PM

Ruth (Guest): When I thought that my AVM (and later, aneurysm) might rob me of my freedom, I chose to make an act of FAITH, while I was still able, that is, free enough to recall Baltimore Catechism #’s 1 and 2, the first few questions and answers.

Mar 31, 8:13 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Soo True Ruth !!!! God even allows great difficulties in our lives Soo that we can love others more deeply and love Him more deeply !!! Soo many wonderful examples of couples Loving and caring for each other through the worst in my family and in many friends lives !!!

Mar 31, 8:17 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): In the Prodigal son we see the Father allow the son to leave with his inheritance !!! Great action of Love Freedom !!!!

Mar 31, 8:19 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): The son had done the most disrespectful thing he could do to his Father . His Father did the most loving thing He could do to let him go !!!

Mar 31, 8:23 PM

Ruth (Guest): You will be a tower of strength, through your Faith, Brian, for Janet and the whole family, and she — who helped lead you to Jesus — will, go on, with you, powerfully witnessing to God’s love and mercy, no matter the health outcome. But we know that Jesus HEALED, and that it is not only HIS will, and the FATHER’s, through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT ordinarily to give health and healing and ALWAYS to give LIFE and LOVE.

Mar 31, 8:24 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): God allows us to sin ! He gives us Freedom to make mistakes soo that we can learn what Love truly is ! Our enemy wants to put us in some form of bondage always a lack of freedom to prevent us from Loving and Serving God and others !!!

Mar 31, 8:25 PM

Guest1242 (Guest): Amen Ruth !!!

Mar 31, 8:25 PM

SrSusan (Guest): Hi just got here hope chat was good I am in dc

Mar 31, 8:34 PM

Ruth (Guest): Of course! I often wonder how you all manage the “choreography,” with so many old and frail sisters. And I pray for you, as I hope you continue to do for me. The challenges and opposition seem to have no end. But that’s OK. It is a constant reminder that His GRACE is what I must depend upon most of all.

Mar 31, 8:34 PM

Ruth (Guest): Good night! A blessed, productive, week!
