Hi this is sr SUsan I am on retreat and did not post the questions go to newsletter for them maybei can join you tonite not sure
Jun 9, 6:23 PM
K M P: I’d like to learn more about what St. Francis de Sales taught about affective vs effective Love.
Jun 9, 7:08 PM
K M P: I think God gave us the Grand Commandment to help us focus. By loving God, who is perfect, it helps us learn how to love. And then, knowing how to, it’s possible to at least like our neighbor. Which, having a hurtful neighbor like I have, that keeps me from commiting other sins. Like hurting him…
Jun 9, 7:23 PM
K M P: hi : )
Jun 9, 7:25 PM
Drogo (Guest): Hi!
Jun 9, 7:26 PM
K M P: Have you been studying St. Francis de Sales long?
Jun 9, 7:26 PM
Drogo (Guest): I would really appreciate a quick prayer please. Please pray that
Jun 9, 7:27 PM
Drogo (Guest): joins my family and I become a mother again. It seems so unlikely.
Jun 9, 7:27 PM
Drogo (Guest): Thank you.
Jun 9, 7:28 PM
K M P: All things are possible with God.
Jun 9, 7:29 PM
Drogo (Guest): Thankyou.
Jun 9, 7:29 PM
Drogo (Guest): Where are you?
Jun 9, 7:30 PM
K M P: When my mom was sad because she wanted a large family, but couldn’t have a child for medical reasons, a priest told her
Jun 9, 7:30 PM
K M P: that she was a mother to all the girl scouts.
Jun 9, 7:30 PM
K M P: and other children in groups she was a part of.
Jun 9, 7:31 PM
Drogo (Guest): I look after children at work. Often with social services heavily involved. Makes me feel very sad.
Jun 9, 7:31 PM
K M P: I live in the South of US. you?
Jun 9, 7:31 PM
Drogo (Guest): UK
Jun 9, 7:32 PM
Drogo (Guest): It’s midnight here.
Jun 9, 7:32 PM
K M P: That is hard work, emotionally.
Jun 9, 7:32 PM
Drogo (Guest): It is
Jun 9, 7:33 PM
K M P: This is the first Sunday I’ve remembered to log on here at the right time… and it looks like Sister isn’t here. lol.
Jun 9, 7:34 PM
Drogo (Guest): Is it every Sunday?
Jun 9, 7:34 PM
K M P: I think so.
Jun 9, 7:34 PM
Drogo (Guest): What time is it where you are?
Jun 9, 7:34 PM
K M P: 6:30 pm
Jun 9, 7:35 PM
K M P: We had a special healing mas for Pentecost, it was nice.
Jun 9, 7:35 PM
Drogo (Guest): six hours later here
Jun 9, 7:35 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi KMP and Drogo. Yes, Sr is on retreat. She set up chat with questions, I believe they are posted.
Jun 9, 7:35 PM
Drogo (Guest): Sounds lovely
Jun 9, 7:35 PM
Drogo (Guest): Hi Dawn!
Jun 9, 7:35 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hello!
Jun 9, 7:36 PM
Drogo (Guest): How does this normally work?
Jun 9, 7:36 PM
K M P: Hi Dawn. I think the Grand Commandment helps us focus on what is the most important… love of God.
Jun 9, 7:36 PM
Dawn (Guest): Others may come into chat
Jun 9, 7:37 PM
Dawn (Guest): Drogo, I believe there is an email on this website to reach Sr Susan and she can explain the chat to you
Jun 9, 7:37 PM
K M P: For me, all other sins have a lack of love of God at their source.
Jun 9, 7:37 PM
Drogo (Guest): I’ll have a look
Jun 9, 7:38 PM
Drogo (Guest): Thank you
Jun 9, 7:38 PM
Drogo (Guest): Please say a prayer for me
Jun 9, 7:38 PM
Drogo (Guest): And I will for you
Jun 9, 7:38 PM
Drogo (Guest): Goodnight
Jun 9, 7:38 PM
Dawn (Guest): Also Drogo, you have just dropped in and she says this is good too! Hope to see you again.
Jun 9, 7:38 PM
Dawn (Guest): Goodnight
Jun 9, 7:39 PM
K M P: night. the first question is: 1. Why do you think God found it necessary to give us this Grand Commandment? Would it not be part of our natural inclination as His creation?
Jun 9, 7:39 PM
Dawn (Guest): thank you KMP
Jun 9, 7:40 PM
Lisa C: https://youtu.be/33XotuYs-io
Jun 9, 7:40 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi Lisa!
Jun 9, 7:41 PM
K M P: I think our natural inclination is to be very selfish, and forget about God, until we train ourselves to think about God more.
Jun 9, 7:41 PM
Lisa C: Hi all
Jun 9, 7:42 PM
K M P: Hi Lisa. What do you think about the Grand Commandment?
Jun 9, 7:42 PM
Dawn (Guest): listening in background, thanks
Jun 9, 7:42 PM
Lisa C: It sums up everything
Jun 9, 7:43 PM
K M P: true.
Jun 9, 7:43 PM
Ruth (Guest): Hi Lisa, KMP, Dawn and viewers. Are You still here Drogo. I missed the first four minutes — reading about the ancient greek story that St. Francis alludes to.
Jun 9, 7:44 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi Ruth!
Jun 9, 7:44 PM
Ruth (Guest): Lisa thanks for the YouTube link.
Jun 9, 7:44 PM
K M P: hi Ruth. Is that the one about the cave?
Jun 9, 7:45 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Hi Lisa , KMP, Drogo, Ruth , and Dawn ! God Bless You ! Brian
Jun 9, 7:45 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi Brian!
Jun 9, 7:45 PM
Ruth (Guest): Timely sung prayer, Lisa.
Jun 9, 7:46 PM
K M P: Anything else on q 1?
Jun 9, 7:46 PM
Sister Susan Marie (Moderator): Is all ok
Jun 9, 7:47 PM
Lisa C: Hi Mother, I hope you had a Blessed Retreat
Jun 9, 7:47 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi Sr Susan
Jun 9, 7:47 PM
Sister Susan Marie (Moderator): I wil be back next week
Jun 9, 7:47 PM
Sister Susan Marie (Moderator): Hi and am praying for you on my retreat
Jun 9, 7:48 PM
Sister Susan Marie (Moderator): Thanks for carrying it thru tonight God bless
Jun 9, 7:48 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hope you have a blessed retreat. thank you
Jun 9, 7:48 PM
K M P: Hi Sister. is that an example of effective love?
Jun 9, 7:48 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Hi Sister Susan !!! Many Prayers for your Retreat !!!
Jun 9, 7:49 PM
Ruth (Guest): No, KMP, I don’t think so. Appelles was an artist, asked to paint for Alexander the Great a painting of Alex’s concubine Campasepe. Appelles fell in love with her.
Jun 9, 7:50 PM
Ruth (Guest): 1163 Brian?
Jun 9, 7:50 PM
K M P: thx. 2. Why would God reveal the beauty of His face before bringing justice to condemned souls? How does God reveal his beauty to us throughout our lives so that we choose Him above all?
Jun 9, 7:51 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Soo many distractions in our culture today that assault our Love for God and Others !!!
Jun 9, 7:51 PM
Ruth (Guest): Glad you could stop in with us Sr. Susan. What a wonderful time to have a retreat — over Pentecost!
Jun 9, 7:52 PM
Dawn (Guest): The Holy Spirit guides us, but for me it was many years before I could see and in reflection saw all of the times God revealed his beauty
Jun 9, 7:53 PM
K M P: I think God reveals his beauty through nature.
Jun 9, 7:53 PM
Lisa C: It is only by grace that we can perceive Him in the world, with our cooperation. We see Him in the Blessed Sacrement. We see Him in other people and how we treat them. We see Him in His creation of everything.
Jun 9, 7:54 PM
Dawn (Guest): And in the newborn child
Jun 9, 7:54 PM
Ruth (Guest): I tried to make a mini-retreat — alone with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
Jun 9, 7:54 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): God reveals His beauty to us in His unconditional Forgiveness that He offers us !!!
Jun 9, 7:55 PM
Ruth (Guest): Definitely KMP. And through the good people we are privileged to meet. Our parents if they really try to live holy lives.
Jun 9, 7:55 PM
Dawn (Guest): He reveals his beauty during the Mass where we are at the Last Supper with him
Jun 9, 7:55 PM
K M P: sometimes it’s hard to see thru the mud & pick out the beauty.
Jun 9, 7:56 PM
Ruth (Guest): I find Him in mathematics, in poetry. In Scripture.
Jun 9, 7:56 PM
Dawn (Guest): In little children and in the very aged
Jun 9, 7:56 PM
Carol Ann: Happy Pentecost!
Jun 9, 7:56 PM
Ruth (Guest): So true, KMP.
Jun 9, 7:56 PM
Ruth (Guest): I agree Dawn.
Jun 9, 7:57 PM
Ruth (Guest): Hi Carol Ann! Happy Pentecost to you, too!
Jun 9, 7:57 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi Carol Ann! Lisa posted a link earlier, can you see it?
Jun 9, 7:57 PM
Lisa C: He is our judge and in His justice he presents everything we did to us so we can know it’s effect on the world. Then people go to Heaven, purgatory, or hell depending on His judgement. Hopefully we can pray everyone out of going to hell. Jesus told St. Faustina He would save souls if she asked Him.
Jun 9, 7:57 PM
Carol Ann: Its been awhile, but sometimes my formation call runs over
Jun 9, 7:58 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): God reveals His beauty even in our Enemies !!!! We can see the potential that God has for them as they draw closer to God !!! That’s why it’s soo critical to Love our Enemies !!!
Jun 9, 7:58 PM
Lisa C: https://youtu.be/33XotuYs-io
Jun 9, 7:58 PM
K M P: When there’s someone I don’t like, I try to pick out something I like about them. And eventually that one little thing I like warms my heart towards them.
Jun 9, 7:59 PM
Dawn (Guest): yes, when we can sit at the table with our Judas, we can begin to see how Jesus loves
Jun 9, 7:59 PM
Ruth (Guest): That’s a good idea, KMP. But I once had to laugh over someone trying to do that: “Nice teeth!”
Jun 9, 7:59 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Amen !!!
Jun 9, 8:00 PM
Ruth (Guest): Judas left, and it was night!
Jun 9, 8:00 PM
K M P: I do have a difficult time with my neighbor though… he’s done several rotten things over the years…
Jun 9, 8:00 PM
Ruth (Guest): There are some like that.
Jun 9, 8:01 PM
Ruth (Guest): I wonder if Judas repented last moment.
Jun 9, 8:01 PM
Dawn (Guest): umm….and God choose the perfect neighbor for me!
Jun 9, 8:01 PM
Dawn (Guest): I wonder also Ruth
Jun 9, 8:01 PM
Ruth (Guest): Perhaps we’ll find out when we get to heaven — if we don’t mess up before that!
Jun 9, 8:01 PM
Carol Ann: He might have because he did try to give the money back
Jun 9, 8:01 PM
Lisa C: Ruth in John 17 it seems he did not
Jun 9, 8:02 PM
Lisa C: Jesus says he only lost one of those given to Him by the Father…I think it was Judas but not sure
Jun 9, 8:02 PM
Dawn (Guest): but only God knew Judas heart so right we may not know till later/
Jun 9, 8:02 PM
Ruth (Guest): “except for . . .” Good observation Dawn.
Jun 9, 8:03 PM
Lisa C: I hope everyone repents at the last minute
Jun 9, 8:04 PM
Ruth (Guest): And Cardinal McCarick?
Jun 9, 8:04 PM
Carol Ann: I wonder if we are to assume it’s Judas the way we assume that the one whom Jesus loved is John
Jun 9, 8:04 PM
Ruth (Guest): I hope we have repented very completely well before the last moment.
Jun 9, 8:04 PM
Dawn (Guest): me too
Jun 9, 8:04 PM
K M P: I bought my place I the country so I could raise goats and milk them. He has killed several of them, claiming that they got into his garden. I think they often had ‘help’ getting out of my yard, cuz it would happen when I wasn’t home, and near a holiday (I think so he could have goat meat to celebrate). So, I stopped replacing them. But then I’m not living the life I want, and get sad. But if I get a goat and he steals it again, I’m afraid of how angry I’ll get.
Jun 9, 8:04 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): If Judas did not care for the Lord his enormous conviction that he felt would not have driven him to take his life
Jun 9, 8:05 PM
K M P: I wish my neighbor would take his….
Jun 9, 8:05 PM
Lisa C: KMP call the ASPCA
Jun 9, 8:06 PM
K M P: ha. I don’t live in California.
Jun 9, 8:06 PM
Lisa C: They can speak to him and likely scare him into not doing it anymore
Jun 9, 8:06 PM
K M P: Cajun people don’t think like that.
Jun 9, 8:06 PM
Lisa C: They have the
Jun 9, 8:06 PM
Carol Ann: So Judas did care because he was distraught that his actions caused the Crucifixion, not the ascent to power Judas wanted. He refused the money but couldn’t stop the events he set in motion
Jun 9, 8:06 PM
Lisa C: ASPCA or things like it all over
Jun 9, 8:07 PM
Ruth (Guest): That makes sense, Brian. We really do not know. It COULD some other ONE — perhaps one of the pharasees.
Jun 9, 8:07 PM
Carol Ann: KMP, where do you live?
Jun 9, 8:07 PM
K M P: He would likely pull a gun on them if they dared go on his property. And no, there are rural parts of Louisiana where nothing like that exists.
Jun 9, 8:08 PM
Ruth (Guest): Could be I meant to say.
Jun 9, 8:09 PM
Dawn (Guest): Then the only thing I can see to do is to pray. and ask others to pray with you for your neighbor. Prayer has stopped wars! and more
Jun 9, 8:10 PM
K M P: Yes, I do need prayer, that my anger towards him can be released in a non-destructive way.
Jun 9, 8:10 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): KMP what do you think you can do to stop this bullying by your neighbor . Is there advice you can get from other locals !
Jun 9, 8:10 PM
Ruth (Guest): KMP so you are in Louisiana. Interesting. I once lived in Kentucky. If ya didn’t “holler” when you walked onto someone else’s property — even if you were bringing a gift of a fresh baked pie — you just might get shot at!
Jun 9, 8:10 PM
Dawn (Guest): haha
Jun 9, 8:11 PM
Ruth (Guest): Smart question, Brian.
Jun 9, 8:11 PM
Carol Ann: We big city people forget people can and do think differently than we do
Jun 9, 8:12 PM
Dawn (Guest): Sacramentals around your property…..ask local priest to come bless your place and property?
Jun 9, 8:12 PM
Lisa C: I just looked at a Bible study that says the one who is lost is the son of perdition and is Judas
Jun 9, 8:12 PM
Carol Ann: Which one, Lisa?
Jun 9, 8:13 PM
K M P: good idea Dawn, thx.
Jun 9, 8:14 PM
K M P: 3. Is it a mercy that God permits us to love Him? Would we have salvation without the Great Commandment?
Jun 9, 8:14 PM
Dawn (Guest): Spiritual warfare, I think many things are this
Jun 9, 8:14 PM
Ruth (Guest): We are not called to be “door mats” for other people’s crimes — to wash their feet maybe, but not to encourage by inaction their bad behavior.
Jun 9, 8:15 PM
Lisa C: https://www.catholic.com/qa/son-of-perdition
Jun 9, 8:15 PM
Dawn (Guest): No greater action than calling on God
Jun 9, 8:15 PM
Carol Ann: Yes, Ruth, sometimes to love is to confront. But we have to let the Spirit lead us and give us words
Jun 9, 8:15 PM
Ruth (Guest): And I am probably guilty of that too, in the misguided notion that it is more Christlike to be so merciful that the other does not even realize that he has committed a serious offense.
Jun 9, 8:16 PM
Dawn (Guest): Love speaks truth
Jun 9, 8:16 PM
Lisa C: Carol Ann the link about Judas is above
Jun 9, 8:17 PM
Carol Ann: I’m sorry, I I missed it
Jun 9, 8:17 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Make a Friend , Be a Friend , Introduce that Friend to Christ !!!
Jun 9, 8:17 PM
Lisa C: I posted it a few lines ago
Jun 9, 8:17 PM
Carol Ann: I think I meant which study you were reading because it sounds very good
Jun 9, 8:18 PM
Lisa C: Not reading any, I just looked it up
Jun 9, 8:19 PM
Ruth (Guest): Exactly, Carol Ann. And I am generally way, way too late doing so because I do not want to act in anger or I become a bit to “depressed” to get organized enough to find proper resources to help.
Jun 9, 8:19 PM
K M P: diddo
Jun 9, 8:19 PM
Carol Ann: We are a lot alike
Jun 9, 8:19 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): As we build relationships over time we have opportunities to find out more about others and to address difficulties !
Jun 9, 8:20 PM
K M P: But the Bible also says something about not dealing with fools…
Jun 9, 8:21 PM
Carol Ann: That’s also true. There we can still witness by our behavior
Jun 9, 8:21 PM
Dawn (Guest): or sometimes the very person you are encountering is the person who can help with your Sanctification
Jun 9, 8:21 PM
K M P: I really don’t want to even attempt talking to my neighbor.
Jun 9, 8:22 PM
Carol Ann: Could you get a dog that would protect your goats?
Jun 9, 8:23 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Try to remove any obstacles you might have to forgiving your neighbor . At the right time you will be able to forgive and you will be set free .
Jun 9, 8:23 PM
K M P: my dog protected them from coyotes, but not from a bullet.
Jun 9, 8:23 PM
Ruth (Guest): I am reading amd reviewing INFILTRATION: The Plot to Destroy the Church from Within. It sure looks from where I stand like the author is scholarly and accurate and NOT trying to harm the Church but to Perceive, Resist and Rebuild — even if you have to carry a “weapon” while rebuilding. He calls for the Rosary to be one of those weapons.
Jun 9, 8:23 PM
Dawn (Guest): I recently had encounter with caregiver of a neighbor. and I one time confronted her with her alcohol use, then I avoided her. I spoke to the priest and he said to pray a rosary for her. and I avoid her. but I heard she is not coming to work drinking anymore. Glory to God
Jun 9, 8:24 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Amen !!!!
Jun 9, 8:25 PM
Carol Ann: A drinking caregiver, ai Mia!
Jun 9, 8:25 PM
K M P: The Holy Spirit is there with her instead of whiskey spirits..lol
Jun 9, 8:25 PM
Dawn (Guest): I heard about this book today Ruth!
Jun 9, 8:26 PM
K M P: q 3 doesn’t make sense to me: 3. Is it a mercy that God permits us to love Him? Would we have salvation without the Great Commandment?
Jun 9, 8:26 PM
Carol Ann: He just shoots them from afar? If he messes with your fence to let the goats out what can we do? Electrify it?
Jun 9, 8:27 PM
Dawn (Guest):
Jun 9, 8:28 PM
Ruth (Guest): It just came out May 30th. Selling very fast, because of all the corruption in the Church that cannot be overlooked. But Jesus promised to be with his Church ALWAYS ’til the end of time.
Jun 9, 8:28 PM
Ruth (Guest): The book. Not the goats.
Jun 9, 8:28 PM
Ruth (Guest): Just came out.
Jun 9, 8:28 PM
K M P: lol
Jun 9, 8:28 PM
Dawn (Guest): haha
Jun 9, 8:29 PM
Ruth (Guest):
Jun 9, 8:29 PM
K M P: someone suggested bees…
Jun 9, 8:29 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): God gives us the freedom to Love Him or to reject Him !!!! True Love !!!! His desire is too Save everyone that’s why He permitted His Son to Give His Life for us all !
Jun 9, 8:29 PM
K M P: 4. What does it look like, practically speaking, to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul?
Jun 9, 8:30 PM
Ruth (Guest): Very, very good question KMP.
Jun 9, 8:30 PM
Dawn (Guest): right! and situations come to us that challenge us and give us an opportunity to listen to Gods will in any situation
Jun 9, 8:31 PM
K M P: that’s another question from Sisters material.
Jun 9, 8:31 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): When People see Jesus in You !!! True Love !!!
Jun 9, 8:31 PM
Carol Ann: That you think of God first in everything, pray increasingly and surrender your will to His
Jun 9, 8:31 PM
K M P: Holy Indifference.
Jun 9, 8:32 PM
Ruth (Guest): And the answer is probably a bit different for each of us. Imagine! Joan of Arch put on men’s cloths — when being as transvestite was really, really not “In” — took up a sword and led an army to victory, but she was burned at the sake by Church officials, AND later cannonized!
Jun 9, 8:33 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): When our enemies see the Love of Christ in us they begin to come closer to God !!!
Jun 9, 8:33 PM
Dawn (Guest): this caregiver verbally attacked me and the anger that arose in me scared me…and I thank God for showing me
Jun 9, 8:34 PM
K M P: I should be able to get another goat, and just leave it’s life in God’s hands. Because God is in control of whether my neighbor kills the next one or not.
Jun 9, 8:35 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Those fiery darts can come right out of nowhere at times !!!!
Jun 9, 8:35 PM
Dawn (Guest): …for showing me, that without him I can do nothing.
Jun 9, 8:35 PM
Carol Ann: Maybe the goats a are tied to his salvatiob
Jun 9, 8:35 PM
Ruth (Guest): Talk with a wise person in your area, KMP. Most of what God does here on Earth, he does through people who love him and try to serve him.
Jun 9, 8:35 PM
K M P: maybe… My own anger is scary. Which is why I haven’t gotten a goat for a while. I really don’t want to hurt my neighbor even if he does kill the next goat.
Jun 9, 8:36 PM
K M P: Sisters last question: 5. In Matthew 22: 36-40, Christ states the Great Commandment and says the next greatest commandment is to love your neighbor. How does the second flow from the first? Why would love of neighbor be so primal?
Jun 9, 8:37 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): God challenges us all to forgive !!! It’s really difficult but with God we can do it !!!
Jun 9, 8:38 PM
K M P: It is SUPER difficult!
Jun 9, 8:38 PM
Dawn (Guest): Yes. One of the sisters a long while ago said there is a sign in the Monastary that reads…Surrender to God and He will Do Everything For you
Jun 9, 8:39 PM
Ruth (Guest): Have you smelled your goat cooking? I believe you have the situation correctly assessed, but it is a good idea to remain open to the possibility that what is happening might be a little different from what appears to be happening.
Jun 9, 8:39 PM
Dawn (Guest): good insight Ruth
Jun 9, 8:39 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Please keep Kairos Men in your prayers . 50 men signed up for Kairos 64 Wende which starts Thursday -Sunday ! The Men will have great opportunity to forgive themselves and others and to begin a better life with God !!!
Jun 9, 8:40 PM
Carol Ann: So true Dawn. He got my printer fixed for me this week. And the 12th chiropractor in my business network is fixing my knees
Jun 9, 8:40 PM
Dawn (Guest): Wonderful Brian. Also prayers for you Brian. God Bless!
Jun 9, 8:41 PM
Carol Ann: We will definitely prepay for Pair is
Jun 9, 8:41 PM
K M P: He dragged the goat back to his outdoor kitchen… it’s illogical that a hunter would have let all that meat go to waste.
Jun 9, 8:41 PM
Carol Ann: Pray for Kairos. Where did prepay come from?
Jun 9, 8:41 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Thanks for all the Prayers for Kairos Ladies at Albion Correctional very very special group that is maturing in Christ together !!!
Jun 9, 8:43 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): God Bless You All
Jun 9, 8:43 PM
Dawn (Guest): KMP does he know you are Christian?
Jun 9, 8:43 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Keep Shining For Jesus !!! Brian
Jun 9, 8:43 PM
Carol Ann: May the Holy Spirit be with us in a special way this week!
Jun 9, 8:44 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): Amen !!!!
Jun 9, 8:45 PM
Dawn (Guest): its late….good chat. and prayers. Sr Susan said she is praying for everyone. goodnight . Peace be with you!
Jun 9, 8:46 PM
K M P: this doesn’t work…
Jun 9, 8:46 PM
K M P: I guess it finally did.
Jun 9, 8:46 PM
Dawn (Guest): what is not working
Jun 9, 8:47 PM
K M P: I saw him drag the goat back to his outdoor kitchen. I was too sad to walk back there and watch what he did next, but it’s illogical that a hunter would not have processed that much meat.
Jun 9, 8:47 PM
K M P: this would let me post…
Jun 9, 8:48 PM
Ruth (Guest): KMP, I about a year ago, had my pet cat — born in my house and kept indoors since the previous fall — taken from me in the most inappropriate, threatening way one could conceive — and killed a few months ago. Never an apology. Never a retraction. One theologian pointed out to me, that receiving forgiveness presupposes contrition. There are a LOT of powerful people who have stollen from me. Once both my personal and my business checking accounts were completely wiped out leaving me with $2.73 in my o
Jun 9, 8:48 PM
Dawn (Guest): it seems these things happen often when we are at our weakest
Jun 9, 8:48 PM
K M P: wow. that’s crazy.
Jun 9, 8:49 PM
Guest1163 (Guest): KMP maybe invite him over for dinner or to Church sometime . I worked with Muslim Psychiatrist who grew up down that way . He will never forget the Christian Love the Community expressed to his family . They would have them over for meals invite the whole family to Church on many occasions . He said he will never forget the Love those people gave him and his whole family !!!!
Jun 9, 8:49 PM
Dawn (Guest): good idea, but not alone. have others there
Jun 9, 8:50 PM
Dawn (Guest): rural areas are greatly different than populated. I also live in rual area
Jun 9, 8:50 PM
K M P: I can’t do that. Don’t want to talk to him at all. And DEFINITLY don’t want to INVITE him on my property.
Jun 9, 8:51 PM
K M P: I’ll say a rosary for him. And when I see his girlfriend I’ll attempt to talk to her. But I just cn’t deal with him.

Dawn (Guest): it is not a sin to avoid someone who has been like that. not at all. I avoided this caregiver. but I went directly to our priest and talked with him about it. ….yes..kmp good idea!

K M P: I guess I need a lot more prayers and healing before I’ll be ready to get another goat…

Ruth (Guest): only savings account. It takes time to get over stuff like that. Don’t knock yourself. I’m still hurting. I’m a doctor; I think I was very generous with my professional services; very dedicated. I was injured badly helping a quadriplegic — long story; afterward — and now for ten years, I had to come to grips with my many disabilities. No compensation, except the hope that God will reward my effort.

Dawn (Guest): defend us in the day of battle. be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, oh Prince of the Hevenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl thru the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Ruth (Guest): KMP. I’m a physician, a psychiatrist. Also studied Family Medicine. And now in my old age I am poor enough to be a “charity case” myself — eligible for food stamps; Medicaid paid my Medicare premium for a couple of years. But somehow I got cut out of 15 months of Drug coverage and have been trying to get that mess straightened out for months — and having to skimp on medications that help keep me functioning as normally as possible. It isn’t easy. But I can tell the difference

Ruth (Guest): between just “trials” (What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger!) and TEMPTATION — when the EVIL ONE (Satan or one of his honchos — I’m not big enough to merit the Chief Tempter, the Prince of Lies) tries to USE these difficult situations to rob me of peace or turn me against the ONE who MADE ME and LOVES ME . . . Thanks be to God! Dawn has the right idea. Recruit St. Michael who’s a match for the worst Tempter, and the dear Mother of Christ — as you have already decided to do in praying a rosary for

Ruth (Guest): Now there’s another thing that irritates me. I ramble on too long, and then the chat platform cuts off half of what I felt “inspired” to write. Let’s see if I can at least partially reconstruct it: you’ve already decided to do in praying the rosary for the “dear” neighbor.

Ruth (Guest): I’d better let it go there, for now. Good night. God bless you, KMP, viewer, and all who come this way.
