Celebrations in honor of the anniversary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, are being held on Sunday 29 September, and among them, the closing of the 60th anniversary year of the Founding of the Visitation Monastery.
The rich program of accompanying initiatives will committed the entire week preceding the day of the feast, with the Holy Rosary in the afternoon and Eucharistic celebrations at 7.00 pm, animated by the various city parishes.
Starting on Friday 27 September, the triduum of the most salient moments of the anniversary will start.
THE PROGRAM
Friday 27 September
6.30 pm: Holy Rosary of the Sacred Heart.
7.00 pm: Eucharistic Celebration, animated by the Parish of St. Catherine
20.00 hours: Presentation of the book by Francesco Terrasi and Carmelo Di Mari “When the Mystery is not silent. A historical, figurative and spiritual itinerary in the image of the Sacred Heart of Rosolini “, edited by Antonio Stefano Modica.
Saturday, September 28th
4.30pm: Parade of motorbikes in honor of the Sacred Heart by the A.S.D. Motoclub and Vespa Club Sacro Cuore, with departure of the Sacred Heart at 5.30 pm for the blessing of the helmets.
6.30 pm: Holy Rosary of the Sacred Heart.
7.00 pm: Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided by Mgr. Antonio Staglianò, Bishop of the Diocese of Noto on the occasion of the closing of the jubilee year for the 60th anniversary of the Visitation in Rosolini. The solemn polyphonic choir “Father Agosta” of Pozzallo will animate the solemn celebration.
8.30pm: Entrance of the musical band “Vincenzo Bellini – Città di Rosolini”
Hours 21.30: Polyphonic concert by “Note di Mare” of Pozzallo.
Sunday 29 September – Day of the Festival
3.00 / 4.00 hours: Eucharistic Adoration – During the prayer the priests will be available for confessions.
4.00 am: Eucharistic Celebration presided by Don Luigi Vizzini.
5.15 am: Eucharistic Celebration presided by Don Giorgio Parisi.
6.30 am: Eucharistic Celebration presided by Don Alessandro Paolino.
8.00 am: Eucharistic Celebration presided by Don Alessandro Spatola.
9.00 am: Entrance of the folkloristic floats dressed as a party for the collection of votive gifts.
9.30 am: Eucharistic Celebration presided by Don Stefano Trombatore.
11.00 am: Mass celebrated by Don Stefano Modica.
3.00 pm: Dinner and sale of the Votive Gifts, in Piazza Sacro Cuore.
6.15 pm: Translation of the Prodigious Picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from the Shrine to the Sacred Heart Infant School through the Sacred Heart streets, Alighieri.
6.30 pm: Eucharistic Celebration presided by Don Gianni Roccasalvo at the courtyard of the Sacred Heart Children’s Schools, animated by the polyphonic choir “Coro Mater Dei” of Ispica – Act of consecration by the Mayor of the city to the Sacred Heart.
7.30pm: Procession with the Prodigious Picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the streets of Alighieri, Ariosto, Asiago, Comiso, Solferino, Caltanissetta, T. Di Lampedusa, Galileo, Maltese, Alighieri, Sipione, Corso Savoia, Piazza Garibaldi (show pyrotechnic), Rome, Sacred Heart Sanctuary.
On the return of the procession the drawing of the prize draw will take place.
