The movie “Cor Jesus mecum est” based on the life story of Mother Carmela Aprile, founder of the Sacred Heart sanctuary, arrives at Cinemark, where through a painting of the Sacred Heart it changes the lives of people in Argentina and Italy.

“A spectacular film, a story of miracles and faith, which I had the pleasure of directing and performing in Italy and Argentina. I hope that Colombia enjoys this film based on real events in which the picture of the Sacred Heart still continues to work miracles ”says Roberto Luis Garay director of the film.

Through the history and figure of Mother Carmela and stories of immigration between Argentina and Italy, the director manages to intertwine common lives linked by faith and love to Jesus.

Arriving in Colombia after being released in twenty countries with resounding success, the film will run from December 5 in the Cinemark theaters of Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Tunja, Villavicencio.

Ángela, protagonist of the story after a serious economic crisis in Italy decides to move with her daughters to her mother’s house in Argentina, a land where Sicilian immigration took root.

To achieve this task, Angela decides to sell the inherited house in Rosolini Sicily, a place that has a long history in the community and that belonged to her great-grandmother, María Rosa, friend of a consecrated nun recognized in the region and who was the founder of the sanctuary and refuge of the Sacred Heart, a place for the homeless.

The property has the promise of not being sold under any circumstances and must be passed as a legacy from generation to generation thus protecting the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the house of great-grandmother María Rosa but everything is at risk due to the difficult situation.

The cast of the film is made up of Berenice Garay (daughter of the director), Lucia Filar, Diego Aroza and Cristina Tejedor, who act alongside renowned Italian performers such as: Fabiana Pagani, Elisa Franco, Enrico Pappalardo, Turi Giufrida, Ronnie Guarino and others .
