Brian Bunny (Guest): We Learn Soo Much from the Creation that surrounds us Everyday !!!!
Feb 21, 7:37 PM
VisitationSiste: Your mom has good advice Betty
Feb 21, 7:37 PM
VisitationSiste: it shows St Francis in a contemplative moment too
Feb 21, 7:37 PM
VisitationSiste: How often does a Bishop get to spend the whole morning with leisure Not often I dont think
Feb 21, 7:37 PM
Dawn (Guest): Q1….I was reminded of the many times Jesus used seemingly simple things…sparrows for instance, or fig trees, in order to explain something. It is his creation

Feb 21, 7:41 PM
VisitationSiste: also it shows his observation skills and patience in watching what the pidgeons and little birds did
Feb 21, 7:41 PM
VisitationSiste: lots of virtues there
Feb 21, 7:41 PM
Simone (Guest): As for Q1. I think when our mind is directed “upwards” – everything around is becomes a sign post towards GOD
Feb 21, 7:41 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): All of God’s Creatures are Soo complex !!!! What an Extroidinary World we Live in !! !!! God is Amazing !!!!!!
Feb 21, 7:42 PM
VisitationSiste: Hi Carroll

Simone (Guest): haha.. sorry for the !!!. not Sue what happened
Feb 21, 7:42 PM
Simone (Guest): oh.. that was Brian;s answer.. gosh, I am really confused today.. sorry
Feb 21, 7:42 PM
VisitationSiste: St. Francis says that the pigeons were expressing an act of charity. Is this the same as an act of charity that we as humans make? What can we learn from these pigeons
Feb 21, 7:42 PM
Carroll V (Guest): Hi everyone- sorry I’m late, but so happy to be back with you!

Feb 21, 7:44 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Welcome back Carroll!
Feb 21, 7:44 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Sounds like a very Special Place where you Live Dawn !!!! Soo Nice !!!!!!
Feb 21, 7:44 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: I live near the ocean Dawn, and it is the same
Feb 21, 7:45 PM
VisitationSiste: Sounds very good Betty
Feb 21, 7:45 PM
Simone (Guest): I have never had a really good “relationship” to nature. My husband has always said, that for me an “outdoor” experience is an “open window in a Holiday Inn”.. BUT…ever since I was stuck in the house now for soooo long, I crave the beauty of nature. Like almost painfully craving it. My husband bought me a bird feeder for Christmas. We have so many birds right in front of our prayer chairs. They do not behave as virtuous as the pigeons in our letter here.. but I cannot watch them without smiling
Feb 21, 7:45 PM
Dawn (Guest): yes, the ocean I used to live there also. so beautiful
Feb 21, 7:46 PM
Carroll V (Guest): Acts of charity that we make involve the use of free will and reason, which is different from the birds… how beautiful it is to see how God uses them to model for us and to teach us, in spite of our differences!
Feb 21, 7:46 PM
VisitationSiste: maybe they have “holy instincts”??!!
Feb 21, 7:47 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: There has been much research that shows many animals are more aware than we ever knew
Feb 21, 7:48 PM
Simone (Guest): I think you chose a good word sister. As for animal awareness. Animals do have an animating soul – for sure – and their animal-soul does inform their faculties, but they do NOT have a rational soul like humans.
Feb 21, 7:48 PM
Carroll V (Guest): I am sure that is true.
Feb 21, 7:48 PM
VisitationSiste: they can be mischievous too but as for charity…
Feb 21, 7:48 PM
Dawn (Guest): animals birds trees do not have souls as we have. and they have not reason. but they do seem to mimic virtues. when Jesus spoke of them it seemed to be in the light of God, what God does?
Feb 21, 7:48 PM
bettychao (Guest): my mom is order some books talk about the life in action in Gods word from the bible in some church christian bookstore and I order some chinese gaspel hymns from that store too. I will go to the kansas city to visit my two old sisters in march 3 next tuesday . I did go to st micheal archangel catholic chruch for mass that church pastor is FR brian that FR brian I did help him in the mass in cure of ars catholic church when I was alter girl before I move to los angeles
Feb 21, 7:48 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Perhaps St Francis Closeness too God influenced the animals that surrounded him . He certainly changed the people around him with his Faithfulness too God !!!!
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
bettychao (Guest): I help him for many years in cure of ars catholic church.
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
VisitationSiste: except in a sense when my dad was dying the cat would not leave that room all day- \
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: I won’t go on about it, but Koko had a sense of her own mortality, created art and many other things. Elephants also create art
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
Simone (Guest): ohhh.. the instincts of animals are mind-blowing sometimes
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
VisitationSiste: Kansas city- that is a big trip
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
Simone (Guest): but their instincts are always earth bound.. and not towards GOD
Feb 21, 7:49 PM
VisitationSiste: what kind of art?
Feb 21, 7:50 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: I wish they had had that conversation with Koko. They never seemed to ask
Feb 21, 7:51 PM
VisitationSiste: Why is it important to take time to appreciate these simple parts of life?
Feb 21, 7:51 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: The gorillas painted pastel and watercolor. The elephants hold brushes with their trunks and paint on canvas
Feb 21, 7:52 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Cats have extroidinary senses that surround their entire bodies if I remember correctly from anatomy class long time ago !!!!! They pick up on everything !!!!!
Feb 21, 7:52 PM
Dawn (Guest): I believe it is important because it is Gods Creation….
Feb 21, 7:52 PM
bettychao (Guest): sr susan when I draw and paint about the divine mercy jesus christ the secred heart I was meditate about this wombs and I use my prayer heart to draw that picture and I done that before and mom say she love the picture of the blessed secred heart of jesus that I have paint and draw. for sr susan from bettychao
Feb 21, 7:53 PM
Simone (Guest): that sounds wonderful Betty.
Feb 21, 7:54 PM
Dawn (Guest): Betty, a beautiful words your “prayer heart”
Feb 21, 7:54 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: While what all of you are saying is clearly in line with Church teaching, I still see these things and wonder if we just didn’t know when these books were written
Feb 21, 7:54 PM
VisitationSiste: Which books?
Feb 21, 7:54 PM
Simone (Guest): I don’t really know WHY it is important to observe these “little things”. But maybe they are not so little. Only the birds are little, but the message is big.
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
VisitationSiste: Betty you are an artist too
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Our Catechism and reachings
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
VisitationSiste: ok
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Oops, teachings
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
bettychao (Guest): sister susan I will be go to hk supper market so I have to leave and I will chat with you in next sunday if I have time but sometime I go to chruch.
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
VisitationSiste: Ok and thanks for sharing Betty!
Feb 21, 7:55 PM
Carroll V (Guest): One of the Sisters in Toledo said in an interview about ” Pray To Love” that being a contemplative is seeing God in everything… I find that to be a lovely answer to why it is important to appreciate the simple things in life.
Feb 21, 7:56 PM
Dawn (Guest): goodnite Betty God bless you
Feb 21, 7:56 PM
VisitationSiste: Yes good point too
Feb 21, 7:56 PM
VisitationSiste: It helps to become contemplative when we slow down and appreciate little things
Feb 21, 7:56 PM
Simone (Guest): interesting. GOD in everything is deeply Ignatian too
Feb 21, 7:56 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): I will never forget many years ago PBS documentary a Couple searching for place in Africa where animals had not had human contact . They found a place after years of searching . The video was remarkable like the garden of Eden the animals came up to them with no fear only like a Loving Interest !!!! It showed too me how God Truly Created Everything to Live in Love and Harmony with Him !!!!
Feb 21, 7:57 PM
bettychao (Guest): good bye sister susan and God bless you all
Feb 21, 7:57 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: God bless you Betty!
Feb 21, 7:57 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): God Bless You Betty !!!!
Feb 21, 7:58 PM
Carroll V (Guest): Goodnight Betty- Blessings this week…
Feb 21, 7:58 PM
VisitationSiste: Blessings Betty!
Feb 21, 7:58 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Soo True Sister Susan !!!!!!
Feb 21, 7:58 PM
VisitationSiste: Brian I experienced that once here with a baby squirrel
Feb 21, 7:58 PM
VisitationSiste: totally unafraid
Feb 21, 7:59 PM
VisitationSiste: also we had rabbits that would come running to us in answer to their name
Feb 21, 7:59 PM
Simone (Guest): I have ants in the summer in my house… they come without any fear…. just kidding
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
VisitationSiste: The world God created is amazing you are right!!
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: A blue jay once drove my down the garden walk because the feeder was empty and he knew I filled it
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
Dawn (Guest): lol! Simone
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): The Pandemic has assaulted our cultures obsession with the busyness of Life !!!!!
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
VisitationSiste: smart one!
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Haha, Simone
Feb 21, 8:00 PM
Dawn (Guest): yes Brian! it surely has
Feb 21, 8:01 PM
VisitationSiste: What do you think about whatSt. Francis said: “I doubt if a sermon would have touched me so deeply”?
Feb 21, 8:01 PM
Simone (Guest): Well, in a way it was a sermon. Just not based on Scripture verses
Feb 21, 8:02 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: He experienced the pigeons but you don’t always experience a sermon, but hear it
Feb 21, 8:02 PM
Simone (Guest): yes – differently processed
Feb 21, 8:02 PM
Carroll V (Guest): A significant aspect of the beauty that touched him was the simplicity he witnessed
Feb 21, 8:02 PM
Simone (Guest): when we see something like this – our whole body gets engaged. Listening to a sermon unfortunately only engages our brain often
Feb 21, 8:02 PM
Dawn (Guest): perhaps he had the Grace of Gods presence and consolation
Feb 21, 8:03 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): The Love of God we see in God’s Creatures is beyond Words !!!!! That is why our Actions Speak Way Louder Than Our Words too Help others to Truly Know God !!!!!
Feb 21, 8:03 PM
VisitationSiste: It’s as if he united with that moment in a more complete way
Feb 21, 8:04 PM
Simone (Guest): I truly think Dawn that God’s spirit guided his eyes to this scene and then opened his heart to what he was seeing.
Feb 21, 8:05 PM
Simone (Guest): It almost was like a little “epiphany”
Feb 21, 8:05 PM
Dawn (Guest): yes Simone beautifully stated. and Brian, this you explain is God in us working thru us. The Holy Spirit takes over
Feb 21, 8:06 PM
Dawn (Guest): I mean, how I understood it
Feb 21, 8:07 PM
Carroll V (Guest): Amen, Simone… When we do our part to clear the clutter of sin that creates obstacles and ask for the grace to perceive His direction, we can all be guided by the Holy Spirit in a similar way.
Feb 21, 8:07 PM
VisitationSiste: from Ruth: To:you Details
Are you there? Chatting? Which question? Who else is present?
Have a blessed Lenten season. Interesting how the letters selected match the liturgical season.
Feb 21, 8:07 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Like the Good Samaritan who Stopped Everything he was doing to take care of a possibly dying man at the side of the road and paid for his continued care !!!! Truly the Love of God displayed too All ! !!!!!
Feb 21, 8:07 PM
Simone (Guest): C.S.Lewis once said, that he writes children books – that speak about the dynamics of the Christian Faith, because people do not put their “inner walls” up against the truth -they do not find a story ” dangerous” to their world view. Sometimes I wonder, if we are maybe more open to “listen to God’s sermons through creation”, because we do not find them” intruding” on our thoughts.
Feb 21, 8:08 PM
Dawn (Guest): Sr Susan, your post simple disappeared. the one from Ruth
Feb 21, 8:08 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: I think you are on to something, Simone
Feb 21, 8:08 PM
Dawn (Guest): I read a bit, she mentioned Pray To Love
Feb 21, 8:09 PM
Carroll V (Guest): Pleasesend Ruth our love- praying for her!
Feb 21, 8:10 PM
VisitationSiste: I forgot to go to my e mail during this session to send back and forth but I copied the wrong message I sent her what I could
Feb 21, 8:10 PM
Simone (Guest): Did we lose Sr. Susan from the chat?
Feb 21, 8:10 PM
Simone (Guest): oops.. sorry did not see your last post Sister
Feb 21, 8:11 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): God Bless You Ruth !!!!! Keep Shining For Jesus !!!! We All Love You !!!!!
Feb 21, 8:11 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: miss you Ruth!
Feb 21, 8:12 PM
VisitationSiste: Ruth is doing pretty well but she can’t get in to the chat
Feb 21, 8:12 PM
Dawn (Guest): I also read she said that the nuns say God is everywhere in everything
Feb 21, 8:12 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Amen !!!!
Feb 21, 8:12 PM
VisitationSiste: Brian how far are you from Saranac lake where Ruth is
Feb 21, 8:13 PM
VisitationSiste: Simone that was an interesting insight, above!
Feb 21, 8:13 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Probably about 6 hour ride from Buffalo Sister !!!!
Feb 21, 8:14 PM
VisitationSiste: too far!
Feb 21, 8:14 PM
VisitationSiste: 6. How can we, this Lent, take time to fix our minds on finding the lessons from God in the ordinariness of life?
Feb 21, 8:14 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: By slowing down, not rushing. Not always thinking of the next thing
Feb 21, 8:15 PM
Simone (Guest): For me it helps to ask for this Grace specifically in the morning and ask for God’s help
Feb 21, 8:15 PM
Dawn (Guest): It seems to be God providence that so much has been removed from my daily life. I do believe it is him, to getting my attention
Feb 21, 8:16 PM
Simone (Guest): I think, if we are committed to truly want to find GOD in our daily lives, we can sit in an empty room the whole day and still can see how He works in our life
Feb 21, 8:16 PM
VisitationSiste: He helps us to get there
Feb 21, 8:16 PM
Carroll V (Guest): By purposefully turning away from voluntary distractions
Feb 21, 8:16 PM
VisitationSiste: I agree Simone
Feb 21, 8:16 PM
Dawn (Guest): working on self control. and courage for whatever lies ahead
Feb 21, 8:17 PM
VisitationSiste: Yes!
Feb 21, 8:17 PM
Simone (Guest): that said, ever since I came to realize that I am created as a “body-person”… body and soul together, I am much more intentional and mindful with what I am doing during the day and how to find God in it
Feb 21, 8:17 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: To continually discern His will
Feb 21, 8:17 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Paying attention too the people and situations God is bringing into our Life !!!! Listen Listen , Love , Love those around us !!!!
Feb 21, 8:17 PM
VisitationSiste: and thru human interactions
Feb 21, 8:18 PM
Simone (Guest): human interactions seem to be the most fruitful “material for insights:, about myself and about God
Feb 21, 8:18 PM
Dawn (Guest): We are all here, in this time, for his divine purpose.
Feb 21, 8:19 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: We were chosen to live through a very difficult time
Feb 21, 8:19 PM
VisitationSiste: and we await His surprises!
Feb 21, 8:19 PM
Simone (Guest): yes!
Feb 21, 8:19 PM
Carroll V (Guest): Amen!
Feb 21, 8:20 PM
VisitationSiste: Did you all have Ash Wed in church or was that not possible this year
Feb 21, 8:20 PM
Simone (Guest): Yes.. first time after a looooong time we could go. We almost all clapped, we were so happy
Feb 21, 8:20 PM
Dawn (Guest): I was not able to
Feb 21, 8:21 PM
Simone (Guest): oh.. sorry. I hope I was not insensitiv
Feb 21, 8:21 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): People want too see God in us !!!!! If they can see Him in us it can be the beginning of their journey toward God !!!!! My Heart is Restless until I Rest in Him !!!! St Augustine
Feb 21, 8:21 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Our main service were outdoors, but some smaller ones got to be in the Church
Feb 21, 8:21 PM
VisitationSiste: We have had a year long Lent yet still we need to go deeper I think many people feel that
Feb 21, 8:22 PM
Dawn (Guest): services up here are indoors. we had quite a snow storm
Feb 21, 8:22 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Because it was still too easy to skim the surface doing things
Feb 21, 8:22 PM
VisitationSiste: or using it all as an excuse sometimes
Feb 21, 8:22 PM
Dawn (Guest): thank you Sr for this awareness, I had not thought of it
Feb 21, 8:22 PM
Simone (Guest): I agree Sister. The invitation is to go deeper.
Feb 21, 8:23 PM
Simone (Guest): I like the idea of having had a year long Lent..
Feb 21, 8:23 PM
Carroll V (Guest): It was available here, but I was not able to attend… not the same as in person, but I remain very gratefulfor EWTN and the streaming of Mass offered by our parish and others!
Feb 21, 8:23 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Was able too visit Fatima Shrine for Ash Wed Service Very Beautiful !!!!!
Feb 21, 8:23 PM
Simone (Guest): I was surprised how many people are observing fasting this year in my home country Austria. It seems that this”year long Lent’ start to bring some fruit. Even from those who were far away from church in the last years
Feb 21, 8:24 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Oh that’s wonderful Brian
Feb 21, 8:24 PM
Simone (Guest): Brian, are you close to Buffalo?
Feb 21, 8:24 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Yes Simone !!!!
Feb 21, 8:24 PM
Simone (Guest): oh.. we are not too far apart then.
Feb 21, 8:24 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: Maybe this is the beginning of the revival if the Church in Europe
Feb 21, 8:24 PM
Dawn (Guest): Yes, I notice more fasting also! He is preparing us
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): We live in Tonawanda Simone
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
Simone (Guest): oh Carol.. you make me tear up. A revival in Europe is a deep dream of mine
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
Carroll V (Guest): God be praised, Simone!
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
VisitationSiste: That struck me- He is preparing us
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
Dawn (Guest): I deeply feel this
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: This could be
Feb 21, 8:25 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: He has raised up an army on its knees
Feb 21, 8:26 PM
VisitationSiste: You know I have not been to Europe much but when I was last there in 2016/2017 on visits I saw churhes in France filled with families
Feb 21, 8:26 PM
Simone (Guest): Really? Cause France has so turned its back on the Catholic Church unfortunately
Feb 21, 8:27 PM
Simone (Guest): It was such an amazing place of Faith in the older days
Feb 21, 8:28 PM
VisitationSiste: Yes I was surprised baby carriages in church people singing- maybe only where Iwas in Annecy?
Feb 21, 8:28 PM
Simone (Guest): So.. if GOd is preparing us… how do we prepare for this “preparing” of others?
Feb 21, 8:28 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): The Faithful Remant always Clears the Path for God to bring about Revival !!!!!!
Feb 21, 8:28 PM
Carol Ann Chybowski: By spending every moment with Him
Feb 21, 8:28 PM
VisitationSiste: Good question Simone
Feb 21, 8:29 PM
Brian Bunny (Guest): Remnant !!!!
Feb 21, 8:29 PM

Both good replies. But if I slowed down any more I think i would be going backwards! I find myself “chatting” with God, even laughing and sometimes crying WITH him throughout the day, but I intend, also, to have SPECIFIC prayer/Bible study times; times not only for words but for LISTENING. dish washing by hand in silence is one way. I miss being able to get to Mass, LIVE, in person, so much!
