SrSusan (Guest): What does it mean to receive communion for someone or offer a communion for someone? What is the value in having the world misunderstand/not recognize our virtues so that they can at times go unnoticed? How do we unite our little crosses to the big cross of Jesus?Reflect for a moment on the idea that while carrying His cross, that Jesus was keeping in mind our crosses (etc.) and embracing all of them. We’ve made it through Lent yet again. How can we reflect on our progress without scrutin

SrSusan (Guest): Happy Easter!
It was peaceful and quiet. prayerful. how was your day?
Apr 4, 7:33 PM

SrSusan (Guest): Hi Simone! Blessed Easter!
Apr 4, 7:34 PM
Simone (Guest): Hi everyone. He is risen!
Apr 4, 7:34 PM

SrSusan (Guest): Yes lastyear we had no Mass so I know what that feels like
Apr 4, 7:34 PM
Dawn (Guest): Hi Simone! yes, thank you Sr
Apr 4, 7:34 PM
Sr Jennifer (Guest): It is so difficult to having no mass
Apr 4, 7:34 PM
Dawn (Guest): It increases my desire so this is the good of it
Apr 4, 7:35 PM
SrSusan (Guest): In your case Dawn , perhaps someone offered Communion for you as the first question brings up:What does it mean to receive communion for someone or offer a communion for someone?

Dawn (Guest): Hi Simone! yes, thank you Sr
Apr 4, 7:34 PM
Sr Jennifer (Guest): It is so difficult to having no mass
Apr 4, 7:34 PM
SrSusan (Guest): But He is with us!!
Apr 4, 7:35 PM
Dawn (Guest): It increases my desire so this is the good of it
Apr 4, 7:35 PM
Dawn (Guest): Yes! well at Mass I offer Communion for others. I ask their Guardian Angel to come and then take it to them.
Apr 4, 7:37 PM
SrSusan (Guest): I just read something today Dawn about how difficulties in the spiritual life can increase our desire for God, even if we are experiencing dryness
Apr 4, 7:38 PM
SrSusan (Guest): That is a special way of unting with someone thru the Guardian angels
Apr 4, 7:38 PM
SrSusan (Guest): uniting
Apr 4, 7:38 PM
Dawn (Guest): So it is a grace! I have read many saints suffered difficulties. St Therese was not able to receive often..
Apr 4, 7:39 PM
SrSusan (Guest): Years ago one would receive once a week or at most 3 times, even in monasteries, certainly this was the case during St Francis de Sales times
Apr 4, 7:39 PM
Simone (Guest): So, it seems we are already in the midst of question 1
Apr 4, 7:39 PM
SrSusan (Guest): I did not know that, Sr Jennifer!
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
Sr Jennifer (Guest): I read it some where
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
SrSusan (Guest): Just started the question; I wrapped it into what was happening here already
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
Simone (Guest): so.. why does someone offer a communion for someone else?
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
Simone (Guest): and what exactly is the expected “fruit” from his?
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
Dawn (Guest): Thank you Sr Jennifer. I just felt a need to pull out her book again.
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
Simone (Guest): I am reading her biography right now
Apr 4, 7:40 PM
Simone (Guest): ok. thank you Sister for clarifying. I thought so, but I was not sure
Apr 4, 7:41 PM
Simone (Guest): oh.. I just realized we have two Sisters on the chat today.
Apr 4, 7:42 PM
Simone (Guest): Sr. Jennifer, are you also from the Visitation order?
Apr 4, 7:42 PM
Dawn (Guest): Our saints are amazing! such spiritual guides!
Apr 4, 7:42 PM
Simone (Guest): I agree Dawn.
gree Dawn.
Apr 4, 7:43 PM
Sr Jennifer (Guest): Yes Simone
irtues so that they can at times go unnoticed?
Apr 4, 7:46 PM
Simone (Guest): Hi, I am back. Got kicked out for some reason
Apr 4, 7:46 PM
Simone (Guest): as for question 2 – I guess it really helps us to grow in humility
7:47 PM
Dawn (Guest): the value as I understand it and experience it…. is in the dying to our self PM
SrSusan (Guest): Yes both answers too reflect the process of spiritual growth; never easy to be truly humble or to die to self- all a process
8 PM
Simone (Guest): when God started to work in my life on a deeper level, I noticed that my life began to become “hidden”. God used me, but in a very hidden way – and I think there the biggest growth happened so far in my life
M
SrSusan (Guest): I like that “hiddenness” like the Holy Family, or like Visitandines who are to be hidden as well:50 PM
Dawn (Guest): beautiful1 PM
Simone (Guest): it is about the “almost Saint” – Franz Jaegerstaetter.
Apr 4, 7:51 PM
Simone (Guest): The story plays in Austria. Very close to where I grew up
Apr 4, 7:51 PM
SrSusan (Guest): I heard of him! World War 11
52 PM
Simone (Guest): Franz Jaegerstaetter refused to “work” for Hitler.
Apr 4, 7:52 PM
SrSusan (Guest): What made him hidden?
Apr 4, 7:52 PM
Simone (Guest): powerful movie.
7:52 PM
Sr Jennifer (Guest): Is it a true story?
52 PM
Simone (Guest): Good point. I think it was, because everyone – even the bishop -has told him- just to say the oath to Hitler – and not loose his life for that little thing
Apr 4, 7:52 PM
Simone (Guest): a true story yes
Apr 4, 7:53 PM
Simone (Guest): everyone kept saying.
Apr 4, 7:53 PM
Simone (Guest): Your death is senseless. Your loyalty to God is senseless here.
Apr 4, 7:53 PM
Simone (Guest): No-one will know.
Apr 4, 7:53 PM
Simone (Guest): And here we are – his story is in the movie cinemas
Apr 4, 7:53 PM
Dawn (Guest): Thanks Simone, I will surly look it up.
Apr 4, 7:53 PM
Simone (Guest): inspiring many people
Apr 4, 7:54 PM
Simone (Guest): If you find it Dawn please let me know
Apr 4, 7:54 PM

Apr 4, 7:55 PM

Apr 4, 7:55 PM
SrSusan (Guest): does Q 3 fit in here: How do we unite our little crosses to the big cross of Jesus?
Apr 4, 7:56 PM

SrSusan (Guest): He and his wife no doubt united their cross to Jesus:57 PM
Simone (Guest): I have never looked at it like this. But you are right
PM
Simone (Guest): This is a little blurb I wrote this week. A client of mine has inspired me – after she asked me – how she can unite her suffering with the cross. He was her man, but he was an alcoholic. She was a housewife and the mother of his children.One day, as he tried to be sober again – his body reacted to the lack of alcohol and he started to tremble and anxiety took over. It was so bad that he hardly could move.She saw it. She sat beside him.All she wanted to do was to leave the room and enjoy the sunny outside;
Apr 4, 7:58 PM
Simone (Guest): oops interrupted
Apr 4, 7:59 PM
Simone (Guest): She closed her eyes and slowly reached out to the crucifix and placed her other hand in Jesus’ hand on the cross. And as she could feel how their both anxiety flooded over to the cross – to the one who laid down His peace and made eternal space to hold their pain – she whispered “Thank you. Thank you for the cross Jesus.”
Love. Easter love.
Apr 4, 8:01 PM
Dawn (Guest): Jesus wept.
Powerful story
Apr 4, 8:03 PM
Simone (Guest): I will not share in the future lengthy blurbs Sister. But this one – I just thought I should write down. Thank you.
Apr 4, 8:04 PM
Dawn (Guest): yes. I said Jesus wept because I felt this reading your story.
:04 PM
Simone (Guest): Jesus’ compassion is so amazingly healing sometimes.
Apr 4, 8:05 PM
SrSusan (Guest): Reflect for a moment on the idea that while carrying His cross, that Jesus was keeping in mind our crosses (etc.) and embracing all of them.
PM
Simone (Guest): no Dawn. I never write This was really very spontaneously 8:06 PM
Simone (Guest): Yes. Sr. Susan.. I am not sure if I fully understand this.
Apr 4, 8:06 PM
Dawn (Guest): the Holy Spirit!
Apr 4, 8:06 PM
SrSusan (Guest): The above question also is compassionate-Jesus thinking of our crosses
Apr 4, 8:06 PM
Simone (Guest): I only understand it, when I think that Jesus thought of all humanity – which includes me
Apr 4, 8:07 PM
Dawn (Guest): I can not imagine perhaps I should try, Jesus all knowing , not in time,
Apr 4, 8:08 PM
Dawn (Guest): how he bears it all for love of us
8:11 PM
Simone (Guest): It seems that St.Francis had a true revelation of the cross and how our crosses are linked with it 8:12 PM
Simone (Guest): ” how He kissed our dryness, our contradictions, our bitterness”
Apr 4, 8:12 PM
Simone (Guest): so moving
8:12 PM

Sr Jennifer (Guest): The everlasting God has in His wisdom foreseen from eternity the cross that He now presents to you as a gift from His inmost heart. This cross He now sends you He has considered with His all-knowing eyes, understood with His divine mind, tested with His wise justice, warmed with loving arms and weighed with His own hands to see that it be not one inch too large and not one ounce too heavy for you. –St Francis de Sales
:16 PM
Lisa (Guest): St. Francis of Assisi also knew the cross well, evidenced by the Stigmata.
Apr 4, 8:16 PM
Dawn (Guest): Thank you St Francis!
