The contemporaries of Saint Jeanne de Chantal write:
“The devotion and reverence that this Blessed Mother had to the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar could not be expressed; she always bore in writing on herself an action of thanks to Our Lord, to have admitted her to the daily participation of her most holy body. »
And writing to a mistress of novices advised him
“Let novices often make considerations around this Most Blessed Sacrament, so that in imitation of this good Savior, they may learn to annihilate themselves totally, and to want to live hidden as it is hidden.”
