A cloistered nun received a gift she did not expect on her 89th birthday… a visit from a cardinal!
Her name is Teresa and she has been in the convent for 20 years. The Primate Archdiocese of Mexico shared a story that, even in its brevity, shows us that we can always serve God in the different moments of our lives.

She “she went to the convent when her husband passed away. Sister Teresa has just turned 89 and has been in the Visitation Convent for 20 years, in Mixcoac, where she is a cloistered nun.
As a birthday gift, she received a visit that she did not expect, that of Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes, Archbishop Primate, who blessed her. Two of Teresa’s daughters, her granddaughter and her great-grandchildren also attended.
‘She was disconcerting when she told us at first that she wanted to be a religious, but she already had a vocation. We give her with our soul and today she is very happy here, ‘said her daughter.
The Cardinal came with the sisters as part of the Pastoral Visit. To 12 of them he imparted the sacrament of the anointing of the sick”.
