FRIDAY 23 SEPTEMBER FROM 18.30 TO 20.30 AT THE SANCTUARY OF THE SACRED HEART UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROSOLINI
A great ceremony for the delivery of a commendation to Mother Carmela Aprile.
There could be no better occasion than the Feast of the Sacred Heart to solemnly recognize the shining example of Christian virtues of a great woman like Mother Carmela Aprile.
Friday, September 23 at 18.30 at the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart will be held the “Commendation Ceremony” of the delivery of the plaque in perennial memory of Mother Carmela, an event promoted and organized in detail by the Fidapa Rosolini Section with its tireless President, Dr. Giusi Spadola Incatasciato.
It is she who will coordinate and present the event that she has been dreaming of realizing for 8 months, after being struck by the “great woman who was Mother Carmela. I knew her as all the devotees and Rosolinesi know her but after reading the book on her life, signed by Paolo Di Gabriele, I was shocked, amazed, by her extraordinary strength. A combative woman, who suffered unimaginable suffering but who never gave up. Instead of giving up, she fought, she was always struggling. And it is thanks to the strength with which she overcomes every pain that her story begins, as we all know it” – says President Incatasciato.
To Mother Carmela will be dedicated a plaque that was donated personally by the mayor Giovanni Spadola, always a fervent faithful of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who welcomed with emotion the proposal of Dr. Spadola to “restore”, we could say, once again the memory of Mother Carmela after the publication of the book on her life written by our fellow villager Paolo Di Gabriele, entitled “Here must rise my sanctuary”.
To organize this great event, many meetings and many synergies were necessary, not least the meeting of the President with the Bishop of Noto. A huge job that has set up an exceptional evening for a Rosolini who has always been devoted to Mother Carmela Aprile and her sanctuary.
There will certainly be the presence of the mayor Giovanni Spadola, the councilor Lucia Piazzese and the author of the book Paolo Di Gabriele. Among the guests of Fidapa will also intervene Carmela Cirinnà, Past President Fidapa, Dr. Angela Dell’Ali, honorary judge of the Court of Syracuse, Don Antonio Stefano Modica, Director of the cultural office of the Diocese of Noto and Don Giorgio Parisi, Rector of the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart.
To cheer with musical moments what is already expected to be a great evening in memory of Mother Carmela will be the violinist Kateryna Radchenko.
