Today, March 27, 2023, the new bishop of Noto, Monsignor Salvatore Rumeo, paid a visit to the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart – Monastery of the Visitation in Rosolini.
We know of Bishop Salvatore’s profound devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, having been, until before his episcopal appointment, pastor of a parish in Caltanissetta dedicated precisely to the Sacred Heart.
Monsignor Rumeo met the community of the Visitandine Nuns, whose monastery is annexed to the Shrine; the nuns told the bishop the story of the Sanctuary which revolves around the story of Mother Carmela Aprile and her very special bond with the Heart of Jesus, whose devotion of the people of Rosolina and beyond is expressed in the presence of the thaumaturgical picture kept in the little chapel, where Monsignor Rumeo devotedly prayed
