O Eternal Father, I thank you for the glorious ascent of our Savior to heaven; of the glory and honor that you have given him, making him sit at your right; of the judicial power which you have placed over all creatures, in heaven, in the earth, in hell; and the mission of the Holy Spirit on the apostles on the day of Pentecost. I thank you for the graces and infinite blessings of all these things, asking you, by the merits of these sacred mysteries, the grace to completely take away and detach my affection from these earthly things, and to love with all my heart the spiritual and heavenly things, that I may be made worthy of your spirit and of all its gifts and graces, until I deserve to reign together with the same Jesus Christ in glory by all ages and ages.
