Challenge for Lent

Hello, my very dear sisters, a small challenge, depending on whether I believe you are necessary to live in accordance with our holy observances and make you worthy of recently receiving the graces of the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

You will make known the love you have for him, if you make yourself faithful to serve , as it is said in the Constitution, of your ears, your language, your eyes or your heart only for his love and service. To do this, you need to contain yourself in the Sacred Heart, to find a new life of mind and love, by a whole mortification of the senses, to kill the curiosity of your eyes by carrying the low view, and looking at the Lord in Your heart .You will kill your tongue by saying nothing useless in the time of silence; and in the conversations point of words of complaint and murmur, ; Do not say anything to your praise, nor to apologize for your faults., not testifying to your repugnance, inclinations, aversions; Speaking of yourself only with contempt, and always others with esteem.

You will do fifteen practices on all of this; in refectory, you will make your taste die by eating indifferently what will be presented to you, without choosing anything. Five practices. You will cause your ears to deprive curiosity, by depriving them of hearing what could give distraction; You will make five practices. And every time you do some of these practices you will say: O Sacred Heart, I die in this pleasure, to live only in your love!

This is what I think he asks for you: that you would die to yourself in this holy time of Lent, to rise with him These twenty-five practices, with the fifteen of the other challenge, will be to honor the forty days that he remained in the desert. And those who go there most faithfully will be the most loved and caressed by him, and will obtain a greater gift of prayer, which can only be acquired through true mortification, which I wish for you with all my heart
