Sunday Feb 25
[…] with the strength of God, take your share of the suffering linked to the proclamation of the Gospel.” (2 Tim 1:8)
Blessed therefore are the souls who drink the chalice with Our Lord, who mortify themselves, carry the cross and suffer lovingly for his love, and who also receive from his hand all kinds of events. (Sermon of May 6, 1616 or 1617)
Today I will enter a church and I will kneel for a few moments before the Blessed Sacrament asking for forgiveness and strength.

Mon Feb 26
Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (Lk 6:37)
Oh God, do not make this mistake of looking at the imperfections of the Sisters, for that would greatly delay your perfection and do much damage to your soul. (Interviews, Questions made to our blessed Father, Pléiade p. 1294)
I am asking today about the possibilities of receiving the sacrament of reconciliation during this Lenten season.
Tues Feb 27
The greatest among you will be your servant. (Mt 23:11)
We must serve the divine Majesty as best and most faithfully as we can, observing His commandments, His counsels and His wills exactly, and with as much perfection, purity and love as possible. (Sermon of May 6, 1616 or 1617)
I notice a “no” to Jesus that comes back regularly in my life (a grudge, a laziness, a gluttony, etc.), and today, I am going to make it a “yes” through an act that will deliberately oppose it.
Wed Feb 28
I am sure of you, Lord, I say: “You are my God! » (Ps 30:15)
What we can know is whether we desire to love Him. If we feel within ourselves the desire for holy love, we know that we begin to love him. (TLG XII, 2)
I set a specific prayer appointment for myself: at 3 p.m. (or 4 or 5…), I will interrupt my activity to reflect for five minutes and ask myself if what I am doing really corresponds to God’s will .
Thur Feb 29
Blessed is the man who puts his faith in the Lord, whose trust is in the Lord. He will be like a tree, planted by the waters, which grows its roots towards the current. It does not fear when the heat comes: its foliage remains green. In the year of drought, he is without worry: he does not fail to bear fruit. (Jer 17, 7-8)
Be very firm in the confidence that we must have in the providence of God, which, if it prepares crosses for you, will give you shoulders to carry them. (To Mme de Chantal, 1612-1613)
Because I trust in God, today I am taking a step that costs me (a constantly postponed appointment, a delicate letter, an unpleasant phone call, etc.), knowing that God willing, the outcome will be good anyway.
Fri Mar 1
Jesus said to them: “Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone: this is the work of the Lord, the marvel before our eyes!” (Mt 21:42)
Therefore love one another, says Saint Paul, as our Lord loved us! He offered himself as a holocaust: it was then that being on the Cross he poured out to the last drop of his blood on the earth, as if to make a sacred cement from which he had and wanted to cement, unite, join and attach one to the other all the stones of his Church. (Sermon February 27, 1622, EA X p. 277)
I am a living stone, at my level I will seek how to be a leaven of unity in the groups in which I participate, whether in my parish or elsewhere.
Sat Mar 2
Bless the Lord, O my soul, bless his most holy name, my whole being! (Ps 103, 1)
Pray often for souls who have strayed from the true faith, and often bless God for the grace with which he has kept you there. (To a Lady from Paris, September 4, 1619)
I will take a time to praise everything that the Lord offers us every day: the beauty of his creation, fraternal encounters… and his patience with myself
