March 5, 1604: Saint Francis de Sales, Bishop of Geneva, preaches Lent in Dijon and meets the Baroness de Chantal, the starting point of one of the most beautiful spiritual friendships in the history of the Church. He will be able to say: “The Visitation is the fruit of the journey to Dijon”.

March 13, 1863: Sister Marie of the Sacred Heart Bernaud, a nun of the Visitation of Bourg-en-Bresse, receives from Heaven the vision of the Dial of the Guard of Honor and the revelation of the spirituality of this Work that she has the mission to found.

March 21, 1907: Death in the odour of holiness of Sister Marie-Marthe Chambon, humble lay nun of the Visitation of Chambéry, and apostle of devotion to the Holy Wounds of Our Lord. (Beatification process in progress: www.marie-marthe-chambon.fr)

March 24, 1606: Saint Francis de Sales, founder of the Order of the Visitation, preaches Lent in the Senate of Savoy, in the church of the Dominicans, in Chambéry. It is then that he is illuminated by the rays projected on him by a large crucifix placed in front of his pulpit. It was Good Friday. The crucifix is now in the chapel of the Visitation in Thonon-Marclaz.
