Sunday March 17

Then Jesus said to Martha, “Did I not tell you? If you believe, you will see the glory of God. » (Jn 11:40)

Who can harm him who says: “I believe in God” who is our Father, and our Almighty Father? By saying these words we show that we do not trust in our own strength, but in the virtue of our Father with whom we undertake the combat, and from whom we hope for victory. (Sermon of February 13, 1922)

Facing the cross, I will recite “I believe in God” today slowly. May my words be full of tenderness as if Jesus were with me.

Mon Mar 18

The Lord is my shepherd: I lack nothing. (Ps 22:1)

We must have great confidence and resignation in the providence of God, we must stock up on manna for each day, and no more; and let us not doubt, God will rain more tomorrow, and after tomorrow, all the days of our pilgrimage. (To Miss de Soulfour, July 22, 1603)

I choose to live my day with confidence for Christ, I forget myself and I offer my time, my possessions, or I pray for a person in need of comfort

Tues Mar 19

Feast of Saint Joseph, husband of the Virgin Mary

He said to them, “How is it that you sought me? Didn’t you know that I must be with my Father? » (Lk 2:49)

Go then […] Have no other limit than the end of your life; as long as it lasts, run after your Savior. But run hard, run quickly, for what’s the point of following him if you never catch up with him? (TLG III, 1)

May I, following the example of St. Joseph, remain humble by carrying out the ordinary acts of my life without ill will or unnecessary recrimination.

Wed Mar 20

The people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, complaining against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord to keep the serpents away from us. » (Num 21, 7)

Do not examine whether what you are doing is more or less, whether it is good or bad, provided that it is not sin and that, in good faith, you have the will to do it for God. As long as you can, do what you will do perfectly, but when it is done, think no more about it… (To Madame de la Fléchère, January 20, 1609)

Lord, help me to have a pure heart today, to control my tongue, so that my attitude and my words reflect my faith.

Thur Mar 21

And Nebuchadnezzar cried out: “Blessed be the God of Sidrach, Misac and Abdenago, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants! They trusted in him, and they disobeyed the king’s command; they surrendered their bodies rather than serve and worship any god other than their God. (Dan 3:95)

We must see and speak to God among the thunders and whirlwinds of the wind; we must see it in the bush and among the fire and the thorns, and to do this, the truth is that it is necessary to take off our shoes and make a great abnegation of our wills and affections. (To Madame de Chantal, February 18, 1605)

In adversity, annoyance or pain, I will strive to be patient, to forgive, to live my suffering with as much love as possible.

Fri Mar 22

God said to Abraham, “You shall keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. » (Gen 17:9)

[…] the path is not made for sitting but for walking, that is to say, for walking. Did not God, speaking to one of his greatest friends, say to him: Walk before me and be perfect? (TLG III, 1)

Pope Francis tells us, “It is necessary to implement merciful love in all human relationships: between spouses, between parents and children, within our communities, in the Church and in society. » I will try to live it.

Sat Mar 23

What you want me to do. My God, this is what I love: your law holds me to the core. (Ps 39:9)

Holy freedom and frankness must reign everywhere and we must have no other law nor constraint than that of love. (To Madame de Chantal, June 8, 1606)

Lord, help me to listen to you. Give me the Spirit of Jesus so that my goal is to grow spiritually and through love.
