July 2, 1688: (at this time, the feast of the Visitation) Saint Margaret Mary, a nun of the Visitation of Paray-le-Monial, contemplates in a vision the Heart of Jesus, surrounded by the Virgin Mary, Saint Francis de Sales and Saint Claude de la Colombière. The Visitandines and the Jesuits were given the mission of spreading the cult of the Heart of Jesus.
12 July 1977: Birth in Heaven of the Servant of God Mother Maria-Angelica Alvarez Icaza, a nun of the Visitation of Mexico, whose beatification process is underway.
July 15, 1865: Dedication of the chapel of our Nantes monastery by Monsignor Mermillod, auxiliary bishop of Geneva.
July 16, 1767: Canonization of Saint Jeanne de Chantal, foundress of the Order of the Visitation of Saint Mary, by Pope Clement XIII.
July 19, 1630: Arrival in Nantes by water coach of the 8 founding Sisters of our monastery, sent by the Visitation of Moulins.
19 July 1810: After 18 years of forced dispersal by the Revolution, the Visitandines of Nantes resumed monastic life on the site of the former Chartreuse, where we are still established.
July 20, 1685: First feast of the Sacred Heart by the novices of the Visitation of Paray-le-Monial, on the day of the patronal feast of their mistress, Saint Margaret Mary.
July 22, 1647: Birth of Saint Margaret Mary in Verosvres, on the feast of Saint Mary Magdalene.
22 July: Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, First Guard of Honour at the foot of the Cross
