“On the way to a Holy Year of grace and peace!”

Dear friends Guards of Honor,

At the beginning of this year 2025, our hearts are open to hope and joy. This year is special: the universal Church is preparing to cross the threshold of the Holy Year, an exceptional time of grace that invites us to renew ourselves in faith and to become more witnesses of the Risen Christ. A Holy Year to celebrate the love of God

The Jubilee of the Heart of Jesus, which we have been living for several years, is reaching its peak. Pope Francis, in the encyclical Dilexit nos, calls us to deepen the mystery of the infinite love of the Heart of Jesus and to renew our consecration as a response to this love. It is in this spirit that the opening of the Holy Year is part of, coinciding with the Nativity of the Lord. Together, let us allow ourselves to be transformed by this message of love and reparation, and commit ourselves to reflecting this love in the world.

Our international meeting in April: a fraternal rendezvous Another highlight of this year will be our International Meeting, scheduled for April 24 to 27, 2025, in Bourg-en-Bresse, the birthplace of the Guard of Honor. This gathering of Guards of Honor throughout the world will be a precious opportunity for communion and sharing, in the light of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. May this event allow us to enrich each other, strengthen our ties and deepen our commitment to the service of the Heart of Jesus.

Wishes for peace in 2025

Let us make our own Christ’s call: “You at least, love me.” May this year be marked by our ardent desire to contribute to peace in our families, our communities and in the world. The Heart of Jesus, source of love and mercy, 3 is our model and our refuge. May it inspire us to build bridges and sow peace where division reigns, in a world marked by too many fractures. On the march with the whole Church

As we enter this new year, may the light of Christ guide your steps and illuminate your path. May the truth, which sets us free, lead you to embrace charity in all your actions, according to the wish of Saint Augustine: “May charity make you a servant, since the truth has set you free.1” May this year be an opportunity for you to serve with love, to move forward with hope and to bring peace around you. May the Heart of Jesus set your hearts and lives ablaze with his infinite mercy. Finally, at the beginning of this year, let us entrust our projects and commitments to the Heart of Jesus.

May his Kingdom come and set the whole world ablaze with the fire of his love. And let us express the wish that peace triumphs in our world! Happy and holy New Year 2025, in joy and fidelity to the Lord!
