“Let us love Saint Joseph, in gratitude for the love he had for Our Lord. When you love someone very much, you also love all the people who have devoted themselves to the person you love. Well! who was more devoted to Our Lord than Saint Joseph? None of them has done for Our Lord what St. Joseph did. None, moreover, has occupied the position that God had given to Saint Joseph, none has been charged, like him, with being the protector of the Child-God, the support and protector of the Most Holy Virgin; we must therefore love him by seeing what he was for the Child-God and for his Blessed Mother.
